I really like this tripod. It’s portable and stable, though a little heavier than I expected. Still, it’s way lighter and more practical compared to my older bulky tripods. I like the sleek look and the build quality, plus the different angle options make it really versatile for shooting. Solid buy overall.

Excellent, strong, lightweight, 8-layer carbon fiber tripod. Once you pick this thing up, and realize how light and sturdy it is, and that it's a full-size tripod, you'll never want to use aluminum tripods again. It's amazing, and this brand is very well priced, with no compromises.I did replace the head with an even nicer option, but considering the legs alone are worth the price of admission, you'll come out ahead whether you use the included tripod head or not. You can easily unscrew the head and replace it in seconds.

This neewer travel tripod was the solution to all of my problems with using a tripod. Its light, compact, durable, and quick to deploy. it has replaced a very heavy and bulky metal tripod that i was carring around previously, and is NOTICEABLY faster to get out and set up for use. where i would never take a tripod with me on hiking trips i now find myself making sure i have this one with me. the legs and ball head lock securely in place. i never once feel like the legs are going to collapse in on themselves, or that the ball head is going to knock loose. for the price i am very hard pressed to think of another carbon fiber tripod more worth your money.

UPDATE: One star removed for an easy to fix oversight: After using the mount for over a month, I quickly came across one flaw in the kit provided, which is the 3/8" x 1/4" adapter screw. Unfortunately, the adapter that neeway provides in this kit is the style that has a small lip at the bottom of one end. This style screw adapter is intended to be threaded into the bottom of a quick mount plate to limit the travel of the adapter screw through the plate. On the tripod center column adapter which includes a 1/4" screw, the included 3/8"x1/4" adapter screw with lip actually limits the ball head or whatever accessory you're attaching from compressing at all against the center column plate and causes ALL of the weight to be pivoting on the adapter screw itself. This causes a very unstable situation when you have heavy loads being supported. The fix to this issues would cost neewer nothing, with the fix being to replace the 3/8"x 1/4" adapter screw w/ lip with a 3/8" x1/4" adapter screw without a lip. This would allow the supported tripod head or accessory to fully compress against the center column plate and to properly put both the 1/4" column screw and 3/8" x 1/4" adapter screw in tension which would balance out all loads. Pics attached showing the small gap between the center column plate and mounted accessory as well as examples of the included and correct adapter screw. Both screws could be included to cover all situations, but just the non lip version would be usable for all situations and be much easier to remove as the screw driver alot would always be accessible.Sturdy, light weight, feature packed tripod. I'm using this tripod for astrophotography while melting a 7 lb Star tracker and approximately 7 lb of camera gear. The flip open leg brackets make it super easy to adjust the level as needed. The only small downside to this tripod is the primary head only allows a square quick release plate and not a elongated arca swiss mount. My setup is also using the neewer vixen dovetail which is rock solid.

They’re fast, reliable, and give you visual confirmation that each section is securely locked — a big advantage over twist locks, which can sometimes leave you guessing.Despite its portability, the tripod is impressively sturdy. It firmly supports my setup — a camera paired with a large Sigma 150-600mm lens, totaling about 3 kg. It’s rock solid, even with that weight.I did choose to replace the original head with the Neewer GM27, which created a fantastic combo for both video and photo work. The tripod’s ability to detach the center column and mount any head is a huge plus in terms of versatility.Another nice detail is that, being carbon fiber, it doesn’t get cold to the touch in low temperatures — a big improvement over aluminum tripods when shooting outdoors in cold weather.Lastly, a great bonus is the inclusion of two 1/4” screw mounting points, perfect for attaching a magic arm, ball head, or other accessories based on your needs.Highly recommended for anyone looking for a compact, professional, and well-thought-out tripod.
