The media could not be loaded. To be honest when I was looking for Christmas gifts I almost didn’t get this because of how many pieces it showed to have in the box. I got it anyway because my grandson loves heavy equipment. He’s 3. I was pleasantly surprised when we opened it because the track pieces were already put together. It literally took me 10 minutes to set up and he played with it for hours. 2 thumbs up!

This is exactly the kind of set you want for a toddler who loves things that go. My son enjoys playing with it and it is fun to design our own new track layout every time. These flexible track things (which I’ve seen on several other toys too) are a great invention as they make it much easier to customize and improvise, compared to tracks where the angles are all predetermined.

This set is very cool. It is fun to build. The switches are really cool to see in action. I felt a little mislead as I did think it came with multiple cars that moved automatically. It is one car that drives by itself and the others are push cars. Also the car seems to be pretty powerful as the battery doesn’t seem to last long no matter the brand of battery used. Duracell, Amazon basic, etc. Still a lot of fun to play with.

I love toys and activities that keep my son's attention and lessen the amount of time he spends with a tablet, electronic game, or watching TV. This SYPEVIN Kids Toy 343 Piece Construction Race Track set comes nicely boxed with 288 pieces of track, a dump truck, an electric trolley, a road roller, an excavator, a mixer truck, an electric race car and lots of extras. My son's imaginationhas no limits when playing with this set and he is free to build, explore and race. I originally ordered this to keep at my mother's house for him to play with when we are visiting but he insists this is an "at home and Nana's house toy". The pieces are well made, easy to assemble, simple to snap into place, and easy to clean. Many of his other toy vehicles are compatible with the size of the track so there are lots of traffic jams on the track. I was hesitant to order this set as he had a similar set a few years ago with dinosaurs that did not hold up well. This set is much more sturdy and built to last. It travels well to and from Nana's house. The brightly colored pieces make it easy to locate and clean up. This would make a great gift.

My husband is obsessed with these cars and their tracks. He used to play with stompers as a kid, and they were very similar, he said. He's amazed at how many options there are out there. This one is construction themed.The one car they give you is the type that you need to put a battery in, and it'll go around the track. There are other stompers like cars out there you can buy which will work with this track in the same way. The construction vehicles that come with this are friction drive, meaning if you push them forward, they will keep going a little bit under power. Same for backwards. The track snaps together easily enough, but I wouldn't call it robust, so absolutely play with it with a child that isn't too destructive. That being said, it isn't the type of plastic that is brittle, so it should hold up ok.Lots of parts, meaning lots of options for configuration, so that means lots of imagination, and fun.

The product detail page said "toddler", but the box said 8+, so I was worried I made a mistake. I thought this was going to be too advanced for a toddler, but I am glad I took a chance. I did need to assist with the connections at first, but the learning curve was short and off he went building elaborate track structures on his own in no time. To say this toy is an obsession would be an understatement. It is all he plays with at the moment! I really like the puzzle aspect because it stimulates creative design and basic physics.Only one of the trucks is battery motorized. It would be a huge improvement to make them all motorized because kids are rough and it will not last long. At the very least, make the battery truck replaceable because other track cars I tried did not work as well as the one it comes with.Overall, an extremely fun toy for the little boy in all of us.

This is a nice set with many accessories, but it is not obvious from the product page that only the car is motorized, and not the construction vehicles. It is still a fun set with an above average number of accessories, and was a big hit with the kids. Note that if you plan to use this set to expand an existing set, that this track may not be compatible with other sets, even though it looks identical. It is a bit more narrow than an identical looking set we already had, so I was unable to combine the sets to make a longer track.
