It is probably one of the better ones of these types of balls
My nephews have a couple other brands of these "silent" balls. They are all the same volume and not silent. However, this one feels much better and much higher quality than the ones they have. While not silent, they are much quieter and less likely to damage things in the house than real balls. Their volume and feel depends on the surface. If you are looking for one of these balls, this seems like one of the better ones.

Dont Grab it like a dodge ball and you gonna make it last 10 times longer
Bought this a little over 3 months ago, and it is still going pretty good. Got worried when I saw people saying it’s falling apart after a few months. But after constant use. As long as you ain’t grabbing it like a dodge ball. You gonna be alright.

Kids love this!
I wasn't even sure it would work. And I wasn't happy about paying 40 dollars for it; in all honesty, I was thinking I was just going to return it as soon as I tried it out. This thing is impressive! Does it act 100% like a basketball? No. But it's really close - like 80/90% like the real thing - very close for what it does. It's really quiet. I teach art at a local middle school - the kids are very athletic and love playing games. This is such a big win for the classroom - they're already obsessed with this thing; they all plan on buying their own too for at home. It's safe - won't break anything - most likely - won't hurt anyone - very soft - still has enough weight to be thrown slightly hard. I'm very impressed. Actually, whoever delivered it - looks like they opened it and maybe even tried it out; the package was totally opened on my deck when I got home - which is whatever - product isn't damaged. They probably couldn't believe it for themselves! I'll be sure to check my ring cameras! lolI just wish it was a tad bit cheaper, because I'd order 100 if I could - my students can't get enough of this thing - I just ordered my second one. Heck, even the staff are coming into my art-room to play with the thing. It's a very good way to relax and relieve stress. 9/9/2024 - Mark my words though, I guarantee someone is going to bite it or destroy it or vandalize it somehow - right? I'll let you know in June 2026 - maybe - we'll see. Got a lot going on with our "election" - seems like a dirty word - right? lol I got you though; It'll be a fun little project to document.

Flat, Lopsided Imitation
Ball did not bounce like a basketball... at all.We opened this and right out of the box, it did not bounce very well. It only bounced about half as high as a normal basketball would. It also had bumps on it that made it so the product did not bounce even. Put it back in the box to return it...

Works well when new, but short lifespan for the price
Be aware that all foam silent balls don't bounce as high as a normal inflated basketball, but they're a nice compromise if you have kids who want to dribble in the house without disturbing everyone else. This ball is expensive compared to other silent balls on Amazon, but it isn't squished in shipping, and it has a reasonable and consistent bounce when it's new, ~75% of a normal basketball bounce. However, after my kids played with this in the house for about 3-4 months old, that bounce has reduced to ~40% of a normal basketball. Or, in other words, a ball that's too flat to play with.I can't see myself paying $40 every 3 months to keep this useful, so I will skip it in the future. But it may be a good option for you if that price is worth it or if your kids take better care of it than mine.
