Stay Warm, Grow Strong
With the arrival of the cold season, especially in colder states like Illinois, maintaining the temperature in a greenhouse becomes a fundamental task to ensure plant survival. Winters are quite chilly here. And at night it could be a significant drop in temperature. Essentially, I needed a heater with a thermostat to control the greenhouse temperature, preventing frost and plant stress. The heater is equipped with a thermostat that allows you to set and maintain the required temperature. Its compact dimensions (11 x 8 x 13 inches) make it suitable even for small greenhouses. It includes a fan for heat distribution. While some users have raised concerns about the build quality, I find these less worrisome for two reasons: firstly, Amazon offers a return guarantee, and secondly, the manufacturer provides a two-year warranty. It may not be perfect, but it’s reassuring nonetheless.Setting up and configuring the device is straightforward. It effectively maintains the desired temperature even during severe frosts. For instance, in a greenhouse with thin plastic walls, the device kept the temperature at 42°F while it was -10°F outside. The thermostat setup isn’t the most intuitive, so it’s essential to keep the instructions handy. Although I’m not particularly fond of it, the thermostat rarely signals overheating, which helps prevent plant damage, though manual shutdown is required. The noise level is minimal, but the cord length might be insufficient for larger greenhouses, where multiple heaters may be necessary. For my small greenhouse, this heater is an excellent solution. I haven’t had the chance to test it in extreme conditions yet, but I believe it will withstand even the lowest temperatures in my region.

An additional 2 months to be able to grow, yes please!
With our low spring temperatures in Massachusetts, even with my well insulated 6 year old 8x10 Grandio greenhouse, overnight temperatures drop into the 30’s. While my plants didn’t freeze, they were stressing so I decided to invest in a heater. I was torn between purchasing one with or without the digital thermostat, it was a pretty wide difference in price. I decided to go with the thermostat & I’m glad I did! Initially we thought the item was faulty but if you carefully follow the set up instructions, it works very well. Pay attention to the red, yellow& green lights on the thermostat itself, the set up is NOT intuitive, follow the directions!! I do have to get out there mid-morning now that the weather is warming up, the thermostat reaches an overheat point my well insulated site. I need to either open the doors or shut the thermostat off (it keeps its settings when I turn it back on in the early evening). It will emit a high pitched sound alerting you to high temps within the greenhouse. Hit the power button to silence, then again to turn off. I like the feature, it keeps my plants from “cooking” but I imagine if you ignore it, it may overheat & smoke as another reviewer commented. Knowing how it functions & responding to its warnings, I don’t think it’s a hazard at all. It’s accurate to within 3-5 degrees to a thermometer I keep in my greenhouse, the thermometer tends to read higher than the unit. The wire attached to the thermostat sensor is quite long, I have it hanging from a cross support, at about eye level, well out of the path of the warm air of the blower. I keep the thermostat dry but have accidentally lightly sprayed the heater itself while watering my plants, no ill effects yet! I AM using a heavy duty outdoor extension cord, it is the only thing plugged into a small outbuilding & it has its own circuit. I know it’s not recommended but hasn’t tripped once in the time I’ve been using it, which is a little over a month. So far, I believe this is a great purchase, only time will tell on longevity. Summer is around the corner, so I hope after this spring when I set it back up in late fall/early winter it will be as functional as it is now. I feel confident this has easily added more than a month on either side of our growing season. I searched for a long time & did a lot of research before I took a chance on this heater. I’m confident that if you’re looking for a reliable, compact heater for a small greenhouse, this fits the bill. It does exactly what I needed it to do and it actually performs better than I anticipated after reading the reviews.

3 units . Not worth the trouble
This was our 3rd replacement. The unit has a two year warranty, which is great . Our first unit we purchased 8 months ago. The unit came damaged and dented on the side . No worries, Amazon customer support replaced the unit right away . Second unit worked great for about two months. We really liked the thermostat setting and being able to have the unit turn on when needed. All of a sudden the heater stopped working and the unit was only blowing cold air. We called about the warranty. Was told to call the manufacturer with the phone number provided. The number goes to dead space and the manufacturer is MIA. Filled out paperwork to not receive a response. We called Amazon back and after fighting for my warranty, another replacement was sent. This final 3rd replacement was received and this unit is tripping our GFI breaker and blowing cold air.We have had a substitute unit keeping our greenhouse warm while waiting for this replacement with no GFI tripping or breaker issues. This new unit was plugged in and again, only blowing cold air and tripping our breaker.I’m done . Will look for another greenhouse heater. Not worth the hassle . It’s a shame cause when it was working , it was a great unit .

Good for winter greenhouse
This heater works great and appears to be well built. We use this in our greenhouse during the winter months.

Good Product
Heater works great. Thermostat is accurate and kept my grow done plants alive. In summer for a fan not very strong.

They took care of me! They were quick and sent a new one
I have an L-shaped greenhouse and bought two of these heaters to maintain the temperature over our cold winter. They seemed to do a good job and were easy to use and I didn’t have any trouble with them until one of them quit working after three months. Evidently the element is no longer working. It blows cold air only. I invested quite a bit of money into the two of those thinking that they would last after seeing good reviews. Now that I look at the bad reviews, I’m not the only one that’s had this problem.Redeemed!!! I contacted the company, and there was a courteous service person who took care of me and got me set up for a new unit for replacement of my other one with no cost to me. It was sent quickly, and I am very happy.
