DK Japan (Travel Guide) Paperback – 12 Sept. 2024

A very useful planning guide for a trip to Japan. Having been used to buying DK guides over the years and preferring them over Rough Guides I can say without reservation that this one lives up to the usual quality. It’s well printed, reasonably concise and full of lovely photos and clear illustrations.

We’re currently planning a three week trip to Japan, having never been before, which is quite overwhelming. I purchased this guide to help us figure out an itinerary.Not only does this book contain useful information about various sights and things to do, alongside beautiful images, it also provides helpful detail on how to get to each place. Navigating public transport in an unfamiliar place is never easy so this is very helpful!The book also contains some suggested itineraries for trips of different lengths, which we will probably use as a starting point for our trip. Like other DK guides I have owned, a very good book, and small enough to carry around.

This is a classic DK Eyewitness Travel guide and is the ‘must have’ for the discerning traveller to Japan
