BoatBuckleG2 Retractable Transom Tie-Down, 1 Pair

This is a great item, makes life alot easier when strapping dn the boat at the boat dock. No more guessing as how tight to make it. No more risk of scratching the boat or gel coat. Just press the button, pull strap up and ratchet it tight. Very nice, very easy, it is also very easy to mount, but i do suggest you order the extra mounting parts, incase ,like my boat , the position in which i had to mount the buckle was way to forward, put to much angle on straps, the extra mount brackets, added extra length to eliminate that angle. You will thank your self every time you take your boat out. I got heavy duty, i used my own bolts , only because i dont like nila lock nuts. If you use stainless nuts and bolts you must tighten them slowly, if you try to use power tools they will freeze up the nuts before they tighten, that's Normal with stainless, if you use power tools or try to tighten stainless nuts and bolts to fast , its a Gamble as to weather they freeze up or not, if they do its a night mare to get them off, just use a little anti seize and a ratchet and you will be fine.

I trailer my boat instead of docking it, and these straps make the process so much easier. I had to use longer bolts for my application, but that was not a big deal. These retractable ratches replaced my pull straps on my 2007 Larson trailer. The ratchets are super easy to use and feel great!

Before buying these I read many reviews and several people pointed out that the bolts used to attach the units were prone to breaking or stripping. Knowing that, I ran into Lowe's and picked up my own bolts and nuts to avoid any potential hassles. Therefore, I cannot comment on the quality of the bolts that come with the BoatBuckle G2. However, I can say that these new Buckles are very nice and function very smoothly. I would buy them again.
