This desoldering wick and no-clean flux paste combo works great for electronics repair. These are super handy. They're super easy to use and great for soldering anf desoldering. I've already found myself using the desoldering wick on many occasions to remove soldering. The amount you get in this is definitely worth yhe money

This flux pastes does work but its not quite as easy to use as I had hoped. The de-soldering wick works great though. The flux does a decent job of allowing the solder to flow and stick but it is a little difficult to dispense without pushing too hard on the applicator and having too much come out. This is great for the amateur or hobbyist but a pro would probably want something better.

Good kit has everything you can and will need to complete the job, highly recommend this kit with the de solder wick, best investment I’ve made.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I feel this is a necessity for any soldering kit. The flux requires some getting used to but definitely can help keep your PCB clean when dealing with vaporized solder wire that leaves fine particulate matter all over the board at times. This makes wiping that off easier. The copper wire mesh rope is the best way for me to clean excess off of my iron and off of the board.

I used this flux and wick combo to desolder some SMD components and it worked really well. The syringe-style applicator made it easy to apply the flux exactly where I needed it, especially on smaller components. The flux performed just as expected. Components came off cleanly and the PCB was left in great condition with very little cleanup required. If you work with small electronics or surface mount components, I highly recommend this flux kit.
