Q: i read an article about the health benefits of misri. does this product have health value or is it just candy?

We prefer this because this is the product what our ancestors consumed even before polished white sugar comes into the market and more over it is little tastier than white sugar. In fact, you can grind into powder for easy mix. I too believe it has good health benefits than regular white sugar.

Q: Does anyone know how this compares to Granulated Domino sugar in terms of flavor?

It’s a different better. Understanding you’re comparing processed sugar with natural sugar. It’s really not prudent to use Misri all the time (cost and time). However, knowing that processed sugar is white death, it’s best to limit processed sugars and let your body receive natural sugars through fruits. I use Misri to sweeten drinks. I’ll make a jug of lemonade with lemons and Misri. My way is I let the jug sit in the refrigerator for two days and the Misri dissolves. My favorites are Misri, Rose Water or Orange Water, and pineapple or orange juice. Of course all juices are natural-no processed sugars. Sadaf is where I buy the waters.
