Impressive
It came in three boxes. When I finally got everything open, it wasn’t intimidating a couple hours later I was drinking latte and it was very good. Read the manual three times though I amlike that.

So far so good! Love this machine! A few drawbacks, but not many.
I was really excited to get to try out this machine. I previously had an automatic espresso machine and, while it worked fine, there were things I didn't like about it. When I got this machine I was a bit intimidated, but jumped right in. I like the small footprint of the machine itself so it doesn't take up a ton of counter space. The instructions give you set up and "first use" information and tips on using the machine. It gives you a starting place for your grind in both texture and length of time it runs. It gives troubleshooting on getting the right pressure from extraction. As far as cleaning, I like this machine so much better than the other one. This one is much easier to clean and the parts come out easily. The cons, so far, are few, but not ignorable. The lid to the water tank does not clip on/sit inside/etc and just lays on top. I REALLY don't like this, I would much prefer a lid that is securely in place. To me, for a $600 machine, this is a big drawback. The other issue I have is that you have to be staring at the pressure gauge the whole time it's extracting in order to see what pressure it achieves. It doesn't stay on the screen for long so if you aren't watching that area, you'll miss it. The instructions also don't really tell you where to look, you have to just find it on the screen. Not a con, but a note, you can't use the steam feature and extract at the same time. If you use the steam feature, it has to finish its process before you move onto extraction.Overall, this is a great machine and I really like it!

Love it and use it daily!
I have been using my machine a little over a month now and absolutely love it! I am so happy I went with the model that had the grinder as well. It is worth it to have everything all in one!

Top Notch!
Love this machine. Have to keep it clean and free of grounds, but super easy to operate. All functions are self explanatory.

The machine works well however the distributor doesn’t stay together which can be annoying.

Quality, genuine espresso machine
As a coffee nerd, I am thoroughly impressed by this espresso machine. I've been using it for two weeks continuously, and haven't found any issues that aren't incredibly minor. Because there's so much to say about this machine, I'll review it point-by-point.First, this is a genuine espresso machine in the sense that it brews espresso in the technically legitimate way. It does not rely on pressurized filter baskets to "cheat" in the way that a cheaper machine usually does. This means that there's a higher ceiling for the coffee enthusiast - you can get very technical with this machine, dialing in everything from grind size to extraction time and pressure. In my opinion this is the perfect starter espresso machine, allowing one to learn all the ropes and practice the art of making your ideal cup. I've honestly been having a blast with it, and it makes me excited to get out of bed in the morning.Second, the features of this machine are thoughtful and extensive - it's a self-contained package that gives you all the tools to make a wide variety of espresso drinks. I have a high-quality hand grinder, but I find that the included grinder is very reliable. It grinds very evenly, and you can't really beat the convenience of grinding directly into your portafilter. It also includes a backup grinder, in case your first one becomes dull over time. These appear to be metal burr grinders, so wear might be a bit more of an issue than you'd expect for a ceramic grinder, though I anticipate getting a lot of milage out of these.I only have two minor complaints about the grinder. One is that it can be a bit messy. The ground coffee emerges a bit off-center in the portafilter, and can sometimes overflow. This is made worse if your beans are a bit staticky, in which case the espresso powder can spit out at strange angles. This point is very minor - you end up losing a negligible amount of coffee that is wiped up easily after use. My second complaint is even more minor: if you are using beans that are a bit oily, they can get stuck somewhere between the basket and the grinder itself. If this happens, you can detach and reattach the basket; this usually dislodges whatever clump of beans is stuck. (Make sure to do this while the grinder is NOT running, of course!). I haven't had this problem while using nicer, less oily beans (which makes a better-tasting espresso anyway!).Continuing on with features: the LCD display is clean, bright, and informative. It times the grind-time and brew-time, as well as showing the pressure in real time. All of this is extremely helpful in dialing in your process and attaining you perfect cup of espresso. The steam wand is easy to use and very effective. While I usually just drink a double shot, my wife loves a soy latte - I've had a lot of fun making these using the steam wand. Finally, everything in this package feels well-made and high quality. The tamper is hefty and satisfying to hold and use. The portafilter is similarly heavy and solid. It also comes with a stainless steel milk pitcher and a latte art pen, etc. I also love the look and feel of the brushed stainless steel enclosure of the machine. This machine is perfect for anyone looking to get into espresso, and is an easy five-stars for me.
