These pens are so darn cute. The lava is so adorable and the scent is just enough. Not too strong. The pen writes really good too.

This helps to draw your attention in to your tasks in a multidimensional experience. The lava offers users a calming yet, engaging experience that can help support a mindful presence. The gel pens write smoothly and they offer a variety of functional and bright colors! I am looking forward to integrating these pens into my work!

Edited Review to add- I've been writing with these pens for about 2weeks now. I've discovered they only have scent when initially writing.For example, 5min. after writing, I bring my notebook to my face/nose & I don't smell anything. I even used the scratch & sniff method...nothing, no scent whatsoever.I also thumb'd through some pages expecting to smell a melody of assorted scents...& nope, no scent. After a few days, I really struggled to even smell anything upon writing as well. However the scent is most definitely there initially. Im not changing my starts because I still think it a well made pen & great gift idea overall.--Original Review-These scented lava pens are absolutely gorgeous! I love that they are transparent from top to bottom.Upon closer inspection, the ink cartridge sits safely & separately in the center & away from the water, mineral oil, and dye color protected. Making the ink always scented and ready to write.At a glance, you'd think the color of the lava dye is the ink color you're actually writing with but it isn't.I thoroughly thought the ink would smell soothing, like scents from Bath & Body Works or something similar to that effect.However they don't smell very "soothing" to me. They smell nice, but not soothing as advertised, "Engages your senses and soothes your mind!"For example-Spicy- smells like Big Red Gum, Red Hots or Fireball Candy ...not very soothing. -_-Fresh - smells like Vicks VapoRub -_-In Bloom - smells like Avon's Skin So Soft Bath OilWoodsy - Pine or like Maple Tree SapCitrus- all things Citrus-y, like a lemon, orange, a lime, or a grapefruit all blended together as one... now this one smells absolutely Amazing!Keeping in mind everyone's nose to what they find "soothing" is subjective. I don't find any of the scents soothing, but 2 out of the 5 do smell amazing.I've written with smoother writing pens that were cheaper, and seen fancier more expensive pens that made me write worse, however these scented lava pens write nice.They are about middle ground as far as pricing is considered for how many you get. I saw you could also buy a single pen or a 2pk, the price was good on those as wellm I'd take how they look over how they write especially if I'm just journaling to relax, or only using them for work in a public setting where I want them to be seen.These also make great gifts, especially for the next party trick- the "lava lamp". I've noticed it really doesn't work all the time, maybe it needed more mineral oil and less water, who knows? It all runs to fast unlike a lava lamp which is slow and beautiful.If I had any suggestions, they should toss glitter in a few of them, but I know microplastics aren't good for the environment.Overall, these are very nice scented pens.

These smell good, write in pretty colors, comfortable to hold and they are so fun to watch!

So they are thicker than a regular pen, but not uncomfortably so. It's a novelty pen so that's not really a surprise. What’s disappointing is that the extra room doesn't do its job. The pen has a slanted ‘choke point’ with a small opening designed to feed the ‘lava’ down in droplets, but the ‘lava’ is too thick so it just sits above the choke point. The pens in the picture stood vertically for 24 hours and still hadn’t drained past the choke point.Shaking the pen breaks the ‘lava’ apart into bubbles and you can watch them rejoin, but that's the extent of the action my pens offered.The other thing you buy this pen for is the scented ink. I’ll be up front. I did not lose my sense of smell to COVID, but I have wondered if my ability to pick up on subtler scents might have been reduced. That said, when first laid down and smelled up close, these inks have a distinct scent. The black has a nice pine blend going on and the red is predominantly cinnamon. Both are enjoyable. Unfortunately, I didn't smell much when I actually started writing. Even fanning myself with the paper didn't carry a strong scent toward me. I only wrote a few experimental sentences. I don't know if a whole page would make a difference to not, but - sadly - when I checked a couple hours later, I couldn't smell anything at all - even up close. If your hope is to send a scented letter, protect it while you write and seal it quickly. Maybe the scent will survive till opened... Maybe.As far as the act of writing, the roller and ink flow beautifully. There was no catching or dragging or roughness. When capped, the tip presses into a small rubber ball in the cap which looked like it would effectively seal the tip and prevent evaporation and crusting. The metal ink tube inside may also protect the consistency, but, unfortunately, it doesn't let you monitor the ink level so you won't know when ink is running low.We’ll see if my impression changes with use, but at this time these feel a bit overpriced because there are other nice, less expensive, writing pens out there and the novelty features you are paying so much extra for don’t seem to function as planned.

Love the lava lamp design, the scented ink is a great touch - not overpowering. I hate thin pens and this is perfect. The ink glides and doesn’t bleed.

I was delighted when a friend of mine bought a pack of two of these pens a blue and red pair and they wrote so smoothly and smelled so nice! So I went out of my way and found the brand and their pens. These pens in the pack of 5 smell amazing but the writing quality leaves something to be desired. It almost feels like the ball point pen size was made smaller and of a cheaper quality because it doesn’t flow as smoothly. Maybe this was just a bad pack? I’m really picky about my stationary and I’d loved these! But this time around… I’m not so happy.
