The thread is thicker than embroidery bobbin thread so you can use it for regular sewing also. I think it's less expensive if you count buying the bobbin to fill your own

Babylock is mentioned in the list of machines. I have a Brother Embroidery Machine and they fit. Perhaps you can check with Babylock to be sure that Size A Class 15 (SA156) is compatible with your machine.
