how effective is this product for itchy cats ?

I can't speak to the effectiveness for cats. A friend referred this product to me for my puggle (pug and beagle mix dog) and it worked extremely well.

expiration on my bottle is 01/2020 , Lot 170101...... have tried all brands of hydrocortisone sprays.....the only one I use now is: SENTRY .5%......IT DOESN'T SMELL BAD AND WORKS THE BEST

Can this be sprayed into a dog ears?

I think that may not be a good idea. The regular Zymox product is designed specifically for ears and works well.
