This hook was a total hit at the pirate party I attended!

You get exactly what you would expect, it's a simple prop and it serves its function. The sizing is definitely more kid friendly, the black plastic cuff did not quite cover my entire hand. It was a minor complaint, but for anyone with larger hands than mine it could be uncomfortable.

It’s fine for the amount of money spent. A little small though. Maybe I got a child size? Wish it came with a handle on the inside so it would be easier to hold for long periods of time, considering it’s a prop for a costume. Ended up spray painting mine since they didn’t have any other color options

In the world of cosplay (with no aspersions on those for whom a prosthetic hand is a necessity), there comes a time when a hook needs to replace a hand ... over the years (when living in Key West) my pirate persona needed such. So, I have had many. This latest one is the most comfortable one yet - easily held and looking close enough for piracy.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This product had good reviews, but the black base cracked and split the first day.

It’s plastic. It’s cheap. The pieces are a bit loose. It did the job. We used it for my son’s Five Nights at Freddy’s costume. I’m giving it five stars because I didn’t expect much from it.I gave it three stars on sturdiness because you can’t really pick anything up with it. Then again, I didn’t expect it to do much. It was just for his costume.
