Too many negatives for such a high price
Preface: I purchase this with the assumption that it was a novelty. I didn’t expect it to keep my face warm in cold, windy weather (it doesn’t), I didn’t expect it to not be uncomfortable and itchy (it is wool after all), but for the price I thought it would be fun to wear, get some laughs, and still have a useable grey knit beanie when the beard was detached. Below are the reasons I rated it 1 star.Size: As other have mentioned it is very small. The beanie itself is small, but useable on my medium sized head, but the beard section is not. Echoing other reviews unless you have a tiny head this thing will be extremely uncomfortable and annoying to try to wear. The beard doesn’t have enough length to fit under your chin and it has no real structure of its own so it slides around and your mouth is never near the mouth cut out. It’s is extremely uncomfortable, difficult to talk, and doesn’t look right when you can’t see the lips. If you try to wear it you spend most of your time contorting your face and puckering your lips trying to keep the beard in the right spot to talk and breath. This is the adult sized hat (they have hats for kids) and it fits my 5 year old almost perfectly.Design: The beard is attached with two long velcro strips. There are a couple issues, including the fact that even with the adjustability I couldn’t make the beard fit correctly as described in the previous paragraph. The velcro quickly pulls the threads out of the hat if it isn’t 100% on the pad, so that really limits the adjustability to only an inch in either direction, instead of what seems like it should be maybe 4 inches of adjustment. Also the thick velcro pads make large bulges on the sides of the hat when you are wearing it, like a second pair of ears tucked under there. The product pictures seem to have tried to minimize the visibility of this.Comfort: As stated above it’s not at all comfortable. I personally didn’t expect it to be, it is as itchy as I thought it would be, but the beard discomfort also makes it simply no fun to wear for any reason. Even though it is wool it is not tightly woven so it really does not keep you particularly warm if you plan to actually use it outside or on a slopes as suggested by the product photos.Cost: For the cost and because of a brand name with good marketing attached to it I hoped it would be more worth it than the $5-$10 options on Amazon but I don’t see how that could be the case now. If you just want a novelty hat like this I would suggest trying one of the other option first, such as this Vwhite Mens Winter Skull Knit Crochet Stripe Beard Mask Slouch Snowboard Hat Cap Blue Overall: I decided on a 1-star rating because it didn’t fulfill anything I wanted out of it, was so uncomfortable and small, and so expensive that I feel even that is generous. If it was $10 I would have given it 2 stars.

Beardo Original Foldaway Bear Hat Review
The Beardo Original Foldaway Beard Hat - Gray Brown is a funny and stylish way to stay warm during the winter. Last year when skiing, it kept me very warm on the slopes. The ingenious design to be able to fold away when you don't want to is a great touch. However, sometimes it did get in the way when wearing a ski mask and the Beardo at the same time, and that was a problem. However, for normal every day use this is a practical and funny way to stay warm.

It looks great on him
I missed my husbands' beard when he shaved it off for the military. So when the cold season came'round last year I got him this for Christmas. It looks great on him! Our 3 year got a kick out of it and it was a big hit when he wore it to and from work. At the time we lived all the way up in MI by the Canadian boarder, gets pretty chilly up there...and he said it did the job with warmth. So, if it could survive the polar vortex, that's saying something. He brought it back out this winter as well. Still in pretty good condition. A little fuzzy, but he wore the heck out of that thing, so I'm not too surprise.

It's still a fun cap assemble and perfect for the more "conservative" person ...
I only gave this four stars because I also got the longer beard version which keeps your neck and chest warm (like a scarf), and this shorter beard only keep your lower face area warm. It's still a fun cap assemble and perfect for the more "conservative" person in the family who wants their face to be warm but doesn't want to draw too much attention to themselves.

Not so great if you've got dreads (or maybe long hair in general)
I bought this as a gift (partially a gag gift) for my brother-in-law because he has difficulty growing a beard. When he tried it on though, he had difficult affixing the beard to the interior buttons, and when he did, it got caught on one of his dreads. This is unfortunate because I now believe he likely won't use the product. Perhaps with use/wear the buttonhole will loosen allowing easier attachment of the beard.

Purchased for my brother for his birthday
Since the age of 13, my brother has been trying to grow a rich, luxurious beard. For years, there was nothing but uneven, thin patches of reddish face-fuzz. For his birthday, I purchased him the Beardo Beanie Hat in Ginger. Immediately, he had a full, even, majestic red beard to warm his face through the winter months. It made me feel all warm and fuzzy to help my brother fulfill a goal he hadn't been able to reach through his entire adult life... almost as warm and fuzzy as his face will now feel when he puts on his Beardo Beanie.

I miss being a redhead
I am a redhead, I recently lost all my hair due to chemotherapy, this product not only keeps my head warm but also, i have my beard back, i was a little worried about the fit seeing as the 'ginger' option has a little kid in the picture, i was worried it would be too small for a 29 year old man, but it fits great

Cheap
It’s cheaply made. Stitching is weak and it piles
