What protocol does neeo use to communicate between the remote and the brain? What range is it?

The NEEO Remote uses two different protocols to communicate with the NEEO Brain: 1. Wifi: The Remote communicate via your home wifi network so it works anywhere in your home. 2. NEEO Link: It’s the direct communication between the NEEO Remote and the NEEO Brain. It generally provides a second link to provide fast interaction and it is the failover mechanism in case you have a dead wifi spot. With these two technologies combined users see full coverage even in large setups. Thanks

All of my electronics, except for my tv, are in a concealed cabinet. if i put the brain in the cabinet will the remote still turn on the tv?

Every NEEO Brain comes with one external IR extender. The NEEO Brain does 360° IR and the extender emits in 360° too. So even equipment inside and outside a cabinet will be well covered. It’s cord is 12ft long. Hope this helps. Thanks!

Does it work with Alexa ?

NEEO’s current firmware is already working with Alexa. This integration was thought as a proof-of-concept only, but you can already now trigger NEEO recipes, even if they use different protocols such as Infrared, HDMI-CEC, IP or Z-Wave. The integration is very popular and shortly it will be even more powerful, as we’re working on a deep integration based on the Alexa Smart Home Skills. What’s the DPI of the screen on the remote?

The screen DPI is very nice and looks great. However it offers no customization to take advantage of the screen so you are forced to use the icons they provided.
