X Training Equipment Premium Color Bumper Plate Solid Rubber with Steel Insert - Great for Crosstraining Workouts

I purchased a pair of 45lb bumper plates (red) last week and they arrived the other day. Overall, I am very impressed with the design and quality of the plates. I am aware there are several other brands of Olympic bumper plates in the marketplace that are significantly more expensive and of perhaps of a higher caliber for professional athletes. Regardless, these plates do the job for me , are reasonably priced, and would be suitable for use in any environment---professional, commercial, or otherwise. The only negative point worth mentioning is that the X Training plates I’ve ordered sometimes arrive at my doorstep freshly painted. The paint smell can be a little oververwhelming in an enclosed area, but my home gym is located in an open and well ventilated garage. If your training facility is indoors or located within your home and living space, you may want to consider letting the plates dry out outdoors for several days before bringing them inside. Not all of the plates I purchased were freshly painted, but some of them apparently were. Regardless, I am more than satisfied with my purchase of 300 pounds of bumper plates from X Training Equipment through Amazon. I like the color coded plates, and plan to make very good use of them in a variety of different exercises using my new Hex bar, 7ft Olympic bar, and the smith machine I recently purchased. I'm convinced these plates are the best buy for the money on the internet and would make a fine addition to any gym. Highly Recommend this product!

I was very excited for these bumpers as they are a great price, awesome colors and had great reviews. I got them and 3 of the 6 plates don't fit my bar, I was very upset and feeling let down. I emailed x training equipment not hoping for much because honestly the barbell is a hand-me-down and I have no idea where it came from. Rob contacted me right away and didn't for a second ask me about my barbell or assume anything about my set up, he simply said "we'd love to send you replacements but we don't know if those will fit your bar either, how about we just send you one of our barbells?" The barbell is on its way now free of charge and I've never been treated so well by a company. I can assure you that I will find much more to purchase from X training equipment, oh, and the bumpers are very nice!

Only thing i noticed and complained about was the smell of the weights. It's awful. I suggest maybe letting it air out for a bit before using it.

Good looking weights but I attempted to put on a barbell and it got stuck less tan 1/8 of the way on. Now in addition to not being able to use the weight I also have a barbell that is useless because there is a 45 pound bumper plate stuck on it. Nice.UPDATE: upon making this complaint I was immediately contacted by the company via email. The representative was well mannered and understanding. He was able to send me two new weights and a brand new barbell free of charge. A mistake was made and x training went above and beyond to fix it. After receiving such a concerned and speedy response there is no reason to ever shop anywhere else. That being said the barbell and 45 pound plates work amazing togather. By far the best set up of the three others I own!

They are a little bit more pricey than some of the others but i really liked the color of them. They were also not as thick as some of the other bumper plates on the market so I could potentially get them to pile onto a barbell and be able to use all the weight that i ordered.

I really like these weights. I use them on my concrete floor in my basement. These are better than the solid steel plates as they do not clank or damage my floor. The colored plates make it easy to easily identify weights.

Great product have over a year now and it has not lost its shape even with 1000 lb capacity barbell set up For long period of time! Would definitely recommend

They weigh as much as they are supposed to. They don’t smell bad or leave greasy stains like some weights do. They are pretty thick but nothing too crazy.Definitely will get some more plates down the road.
