Awesome pruners
These are very heavy duty and well built. The lock works well and they are comfortable in the hanad. They are very sharp and cut with little effort. Now, if I can just keep my wife's hands off of them.

Best Clippers I've ever used
The best clippers on the market for my money. We used them at the botanical gardens where I used to work. I didn't hesitate to buy my own pair.

Choose smaller cut size for normal size hand width.
CHOOSE A SMALLER SIZE IF YOU HAVE NORMAL SIZE HANDS!The 1" cut size hand width is too big.Three sizes of Corona Shears BP3130 (1/2"), BP3160 (3/4"), BP3180 (1")The largest size has way too wide a handspan width!

Dependable and durable
Corona is the best for pruners that I’ve found so far. Very dependable! As a veteran landscaper I feel that this was always my go to pair. Since a “friend” got them and I don’t think I’ll get them back, I’ve bought myself another pair.

Coronavirus Quality
Sharp, but curvature of hook side doesn’t seem aggressive enough when cutting 1/2” - 5/8” branches and it wants to slide off. That being said, these pruners are the same model I’ve used for decades. I’m cutting Crepe Myrtle suckers, so not hardened wood with toughened xylem tissue. I also have problems with the wire latch loop consistently getting in the way. But, I have used Corona for 31 years, so I know they’ll last and the latch loop has always been an issue. Nothing to which I'm not accustomed!

Great quality though different than expected.
I bought my first Corona Bypass Hand Pruners 50 years ago. I’ve had different corona styles over the years but I’m always most comfortable with the simple ¾” cut. This pair that I received is stamped BP 3160 as are those that I have purchased and used in recent years. This new pair though is heavier and feels more like my 1” Corona Bypass Pruners. The spring is a heavier gauge and requires more force to close. The hook has a wider body (profile) and wider sap groove. Additionally, it weighs 9.1 ounces compared to my older, other ¾” clippers (some marked BP3160, 3160 or without model marks) weighing 8.7 ounces. That 0.4 ounce difference doesn’t sound like much, but if you have arthritis or carpel tunnel issues the weight and balance do matter. Trust me, you feel it.My Catalpa tree hung on to every one of its beans over winter, and a fair crop left from the season before that as well. The last big storm brought them down. I need to get them cleaned up and out of the lawn which is now rapidly growing through them thanks to much needed moisture. Where I live we are still charged for yard waste and I had to drive 1 ½ hours each way to get leaf bags. So, I spent 3 days clipping every one of the lovely beans (most now hard shell and split open into 3 parts each) into 4-inch-long pieces. Why? Because it’s the only ways to get them into 4 trash cans and 4 leaf bags. I spent ½ day with the new ‘beefier’ clippers and the rest of the time with the old. Hundreds of thousand of clips in those 3 days and my old-friend clippers met the challenge. The new ones sat on the side lines.Don’t misunderstand, the new clippers work great it just takes more effort than I had expected for the same model number and not being able to tell from the listing or the Corona Store pages that the product had changed. I’ll give the 5-Stars because I know the quality, but for the all the product pages that in some places show the same picture for the ½”, ¾”, and the 1” cut I would deduct 1/2 Star if I could. Additionally, the name:ClassicCUT Forged ¾” with the picture showing BP3160Corona BP3160 Classic Cut Bypass Pruner with a picture showing BP3160Corona Classic Cut 8” Steel Bypass also with a picture that shows BP3160are all on the same Corona Store 3160 ‘SEARCH’ page, each with different price points. If I were to buy all three, would they all be the same? The model number on each picture says that they would be. If they aren’t the same, how would I know how to choose which would be like my beloved and aging pairs?

Good quality, long lasting
Don't waste your money on other pruners. These will work well and last a long time. I lost my last pair is the only reason I'm buying them now. The last pair was more than 8 years old and still working perfectly.
