OTTERBOX SYMMETRY SERIES Case for iPhone 6 PLUS/6s PLUS (5.5" Version) - Frustration FRĒe Packaging - BLACK

i hesitated in purchasing this case. I looked through TONS of cases on Amazon. My story, a month ago, I purchased the iphone 6+ and in a little over a month, it fell from my lap getting out of the car. Had forgotten it was there. It was in a case (Incipio Highland iPhone 6 Plus - http://www.amazon.com/Incipio-Highland-iPhone-Plus-Gunmetal/dp/B00MUQ9ZNK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1430426341&sr=8-2&keywords=iphone+6+plus+incipio+highland) and when the phone hit the ground, it hit at a point where the case does not protect AND landed on the screen AND the lid was opened when it fell (instead of saying shut). I also had a glass screen protector. When I picked it up to look at it, the screen was shattered. Really disappointed in both the case and the screen protector, neither functioned well.I ended up replacing and wanted a case that was both thin and protective. I received the otterbox symmetry same day I got my replacement phone. Curious about protection, I tried out the case with the broken phone to see if it could protect a fall. I tried multiple falls from a little higher than 5' on corners and screen face and no further damage to the (broken) phone, on concrete and carpet, etc..., so I have good confidence with this case that in the event of an accidental drop.I like the thinness of the phone. All the ports are accessible easily. I had a concern that one of my headphone's wouldn't work because it has an elbow connection on it but there is enough clearance for the jack to plug in snugly.

I initially ordered the OtterBox Commuter case for my new IPhone 6S Plus, but I really dislike (hate) how both the Defender and Commuter series bother have audio port covers. As a result, I ended up returning the Commuter case. I then restarted my search for a case that would protect my phone, but that wasn't bulky (like my OtterBox cases are) and didn't have port covers.Being a network engineer, I tend to analyze, analyze, and then over analyze a simple phone cover purchase. I probably wasted a half day Goggling every case review from the past year. After a lot of research, it was a toss up between a Speck Mightyshell case and some other brand that I've forgotten the name of. Nevertheless, right before I purchased the Speck case a buddy of mine came over with this cool, protective cover and when I asked what brand it was, he said that it was the OtterBox Symmetry series case. When I saw that the ports weren't covered (see picture) I immediately knew what case I wanted for my glorious new phone.Long story short, if you want a protective case that is anything but an OtterBox then do yourself a favor in check out the OtterBox Symmetry case. You will be glad that you did.Best of luck!

Excellent case, typical OtterBox quality and thoughtful design. I'm a huge Apple fan but for the same $40, this beats the Apple silicon skin hands down in terms of protection while minimizing bulk.- Easy to grip but doesn't bind when you're taking it out of your pocket: soft rubber edge on face offers grip, but back and sides are matte hard plastic, probably ABS.- Nice balance: thinner silhouette than most Otters, but some depth on back, front, and around the edges to protect camera lens, screen, and ports respectively. This depth does mean the Otter won't accommodate Apple "30 pin to Lightning" adapter (the one that allows you to use your old iPhone 4 sync/power cords with iPhone 5s, 6, 6+) But that's an Apple design deficiency- the adaptor's inexplicably wide shoulders prevent its lightning pin from reaching through most cases to the iPhone 6+'s power/sync port. The Apple silicon skin is thin enough to accommodate the adapter.- Front of case offers about 2mm depth to protect your screen if you set/drop iPhone face down- Typical Amazon service: Ordered Sunday using Prime. Arrived Tuesday AM.- Frustration-free packing zipped open to reveal case and and straightforward instructions to fit case to phone.

Very protective case without the obscene bulk added by others.It still adds a significant amount of thickness to the otherwise razor thin iPhone 6 plus, but it isn't overwhelming. The phone still fits nicely in my pocket, and it has given me no trouble taking it in or out.I've used this case for several months now, including trips overseas and in fairly rugged wilderness of several varieties. It does its job when it comes to protecting my phone, and for that I couldn't be happier. I have dropped it numerous times, banged against some absurd number of hard objects, and yet my phone still looks new. There is no screen protection built in, but I am actually pleased with that. I have no need for it, and I fear it may impact the touch sensitivity anyway.It's not the cheapest case you will find, but its certainly worth the price.

I've had this case for about 5 months now. I will never buy another case after an incident yesterday. I crossed the street and my phone fell out of my pocket (face down). Before I could run back to get my phone, the light changed. I watched in horror as a truck and car ran over my phone consecutively. Not a scratch on my phone itself, the case is barely damaged, it looks like nothing ever happened.Bottom line is this case may not be fancy, decorative, or made for aesthetics, but it does what a case is supposed to do - protect your investment. Unlike other Otterbox cases, it's not bulky or uncomfortable, but that doesn't take anything away from its durability.I added some pictures of my phone after getting run over...I'm still amazed by how incredibly it protected my phone and remained barely damaged itself.

This is a great case. It's slim for the amount of protection, feels comfortable in your hands (I have smallish hands), fits perfectly and appears high quality. I had a Lifeproof and it was vastly inferior. I highly recommend.

I really like this case, I received it put it on and it functioned as if it was an integral part of the phone.
