This appears at first use to be an excellent product. I purchased the Clear preservative to coat a new rough sawn fence which was required after storm Eowyn. As of today I have coated a 15m fence on one side with approx 4 litres of the product. It soaks in well and is easy to apply. Has a minimal odour and appears to be both a light solution which penetrates the wood panels well giving them a natural light golden appearance. I have applied various products over the years to fences and this is by a mile the easiest to apply with a basic fence brush. I intend to apply 2 coats so I purchased 15litres in total but suspect that 10 will suffice to allow a spare for touch ups if required. I expect that when dry it will protect the wood from the rain which we get plenty of. Brushes are easily cleaned in white spirit although I would recommend buying a cheap plastic bucket in order to pour product into for application.Update: I have now completed both sides of fence with 2 coats and of 15 litres I have used about 12 in total as it soaks in very well to new wood. The clear leaves a mellow colouring but allows wood knots and all to show through. I would recommend this product because of its ease of application, finished look and protective properties which I hope will last for quite a few years.

This production was very good. Easy to brush on, gives wood a perfect colour, dries quick, good size tin for my shed and goes along way. Really recommend. Will be ordering some more shortly to stain wood surround at our son’s as he liked the look and finish as well as us. Great product, thank you.

Must be applied when wood is dry, dry's quickly with good coverage.

Wow! What a difference this product made to how the sleepers look and how my garden looks! It has exceeded my expectations and I can't stop looking at the sleepers!Easy to apply, but as you would expect, does drip so put down something to protect your patio slabs. 2.5L of golden brown went over this area 4 times.You need to seize the moment though with this product as the packaging advises you have 48 hours of dry weather before and after using it. Not as straightforward as you would think when you live in the UK!

I used the 5L Wood Protective Treatment in Light Brown to treat my garden fence and outdoor furniture, and I’m thoroughly impressed with the results. After a couple of heavy rainfalls, I can see the water beading up on the surface, and the wood looks as good as new, with no signs of fading. I feel confident that this treatment will provide long-lasting protection against the elements.

The price was excellent compared what I paid in a store for my first can. It's oil based which I think gives better protection. Colour was fine. So far I can't fault it.

Have used this before and it is excellent. Goes on easily and water resistant as stated. Also quick delivery and the price was excellent. Would use this site again if price is right!!

We chose golden brown and it really brought our fence back to life. Easy to apply, id recommend wearing a mask when applying it though as it does smell very strong!
