L'oreal Hip Brilliant Shine Lip Gloss #148 Precious by L'Oreal Paris

I have auburn- red hair and very fair skinned. All lipsticks I've tried leave my lips stained and have always run unless I use a lip liner (generally about two shades darker than the lipstick I use). Finding a color that goes with my peach color skin is not easy (for all redheads: I know it should make sense that we should use a pink type of foundation, but I always found that a peach based foundation looks way better. Now that red hair is "in" again and there are websites devoted to us for the first time in my life, not only am I thrilled, but I have also been satisfied to learn that a peach base IS the red head match - wow, that was validation I needed. Of course, finding the right peach base is truly a trek because most companies only make shades of beige!).So, I found a shade of goldish dark berry perfect but just a smidge too dark. About 7 or so years ago, I discovered L'Oreal Lip Gloss # 148 Precious made the perfect color on top of that base. It is pink, but flecked with gold - a gorgeous color! Of course, it has been discontinued as all good colors are, and now I order it on 3rd party sites here on Amazon.I would encourage all red headed women to check this out. That goldish pink on top of a darker berry is really pretty and I have had numerous compliments on it. Then we have to write to L'Oreal and start a campaign to get them producing it again. It is sad that just when red hair is finally admired and fashionable that they take a lovely shade of lip gloss for us off the shelves!!

Ugly! A shimmer metallic gold or bronze color. This is not lipgloss. It's tinted lip color. It's thick too. I thought this was a sheet high shine lip gloss. Returning it!

I have worn L'Oreal Hip Brilliant Shine Lip Gloss #148 Precious for quite some time. Most stores here don't carry it anymore. So, when I saw that I could purchase it on Amazon, I was ecstatic! It's a nice bronze shade with a touch of pink shimmer. It wears well and lasts on my lips for a while.
