My SSD is "Out of Warranty" on the date of purchase (2 July '19)
1. Bought the product,2. Installed SAMSUNG DATA MIGRATION software and transferred Win 10.3. Installed SAMSUNG MAGICIAN and it says "This drive is NOT supported". (ScreenShot attached)4. Got confused cuz of being PRO!5. Opened SAMSUNG INDIA support website, registered the product.6. Now the website says, "Out of Warranty"! (ScreenShot attached)7. Got shocked! Further searched and found the youtube video of the SAME CASE happened with another person from India!8. Both the sellers are SAME, "Appario Retail PVT. LTD.", what a coincidence!9. Writing this review, and hoping AMAZON publish this! OR a BIG BAN on both from 'my community'. Thanks!

Things to know before purchase (you should have basic things clear before starting).
I'm assuming that you purchased ssd for only OPERATING SYSTEM (as C drive only) and for storage your old HDD can be used in cd/dvd drive just order HDD CADDY BAY (make sure about dimensions).1. PUT SSD in caddy bay (to copy your hdd's C drive as clone). Note: dont screw ssd at this stage.2. If ssd not showing up in my computer, check in disk management tool, if its showing there then leave it as it is and proceed with samsung data migration tool.3. When done migration of data, remove ssd from caddy bay and put inside laptop (in place of hdd and put hdd into caddy bay), it is because caddy bay only able to read/write data but cant be used to boot (on some old/unsupported devices).4. It will now boot from ssd but first boot maybe slower just do Nothing, wait.5. Make sure you've installed SAMSUNG MAGICIAN software, as it is helpful for ssd firmware update and management. Also use over-provisoning by 10 to 20%, it will increase ssd life.6. Please check if AHCI mode and RAPID activated in magician software, it will boost speed, before making ATA to AHCI make sure your pc boot in safe mode (when you changed ATA to AHCI for first time only). Then change back to normal boot from safe boot. It will minimize any chances of error.7. Tadaaa your pc is fastes ever it felt like. You can reply me here, how was your experience after reading this review and installtion of caddy and SSD.

Blazing speed. Detailed installation steps provided in my review.
This really makes ur system blazing fast.I purchased a HP 15 laptop which has an 8th Gen i5 processor with 8gb ram and win 10. I was really disappointed with performance. Later I realized the 5400 rpm HDD is the bottleneck. I purchased this SSD in the sale and decided to install it myself. Below are the installation steps for hp 15 series laptop, in case anyone needs them:1) Open up the 9 screws at the back of the back panel.Remove the battery.Remove the optical drive.Open the back panel(Check YouTube video by searching "hp15 SSD M2 installation").2) Now add the m2 SSD in the slot provided. The screw would already be present. Just remove it, attach the SSD and again screw it. Now fix the back cover , battery, drive and screw the back lid.3) Now start windows, go to disc management(from search box) and check for this drive. It should reflect. Now make it active/online by right mouse click.4. Download Samsung data migration for SSD software by searching on google.5) Open it and clone the os drive to this SSD.6) Restart the system and enter bios setting by pressing f10.7) Go to advanced -> Boot configure and select this drive in the first position by using f5-f6 buttons. Remember to save it here.8) Now again save and exit.9) Now the system will boot with the ssd.Enjoy :-)

Worth the price; performance is great
Bought it only for simulators which require frequent and huge data reads. Regular games and other application are fine on an HDD. Before you buy, do consider the application you are planning to use it for. You don't need a Ferrari if you are gonna be driving at 50 kmph on the expressway. The 860 Evo Works smooth and data read/writes are consistently fast (which is pretty obvious). The difference in performance (HDD vs SSD) is perceptibly huge, and stutters (resource [texture] loading) are gone. Your mileage will vary based on the application you are using it for (MS Office or watching movies ... won't make a difference). But, keep in mind that SSDs have a limited number of writes per cell, albeit that number is still huge and regular users won't generally hit it.STILL, those who are installing an OS on the SSD, do consider moving the paging file to an HDD. That would help increase your SSD's life.

Just Go For It
Samsung 860 Evo is the best consumer ssd, with the max performance to price ratio. Samsung is the best SSD manufacturer in the world, other brands use its components to make their SSDs which still underperform and are more expensive than this SSD. I bought it for 4400INR. Delivered in 4 days.Read Write speeds are 560MBPS and 530MBPS respectively. Also significantly high 4k read write speed in this segment.Boot time is 5-6 seconds even with a dozen of startup processes, which earlier took 1 minute for the pc to become responsive. I didnt use the cloning software, but it would be very helpful if you plan to do that.Overall if you are looking for an SSD in price range 4k to 5k, this is a no brainer.Tips :1.Dont forget to register your SSD on Samsung Website.2.Download and Install Magician.3.Disbale RAPID mode in Magician. (Read on internet why)4.Dont forget to enable OverProvisioning through Magician, TRIM is enbled by default.5. If installing Unix based OS, ensure TRIM is enabled, if not google and enter commands to configure TRIM.

Blazingly fast boot times and app loading
Got the 250gb variant for ₹ 4k.I must say it's really lightweight as compared to the hdd and really fast at loading anything. Also noticed extended battery life upto some extent due to low power consumption. The Samsung Magician Software makes cloning your current OS a childs play. At ₹ 4k for 250gb, it's value for money. You get 232gb of usable storage.Overall, satisfied with the purchase.Nothing to complain.

INCOMPATIBLE AVEC Mac OS 10.14 MOJAVE
I wanted to replace my 960 Gbyte Kingston Hypex Savage SSD. The Kingston works perfectly, mounted on a MacBook Pro mid 2012. No mounting problem with Carbon Copy Cloner. With the Samsung 860 EVO. I M P O S S I B L E to mount this SSD with Mojave. Be careful, expect a nightmare of editing where there are plenty of error messages. This Samsung 860 EVO is compatible with El Capitan but not High Sierra and newer. Apple AFPS problematic with Mojave. Yet the Sierra-mounted Kingston still works with Mojave but not Kingston.

Best investment ever
So far, so good. I replaced the stock drive in a mid-2012 MacBook Pro (non-Retina), and the difference has been unbelievable. What took a minute to start (InDesign, Photoshop) before, now takes seconds. Best tech investment ever. Also--not very difficult to do yourself. Just make sure you have the right screwdrivers.

Received tampered with product
First, let me say that I really like Samsung SSDs. The ones I have used in the past were all performing great. When it came time to find a new drive, the 860 PRO ticked all the boxes in terms of speed and reliability.Once I mounted the drive it showed up as having only 256GB. I was confused and so I called Samsung Support. They told me to run a few tests and it turns out that the drive I have received is an older model 840 PRO with 256GB capacity even though the disk and packaging both have stickers to claim it was an 860 PRO 2TB drive! Returning this for a refund but now hesitant to order the same model again if the replacement comes from the same batch.

Nice drive, but expected better
Pros: MLC, Good reviews, reasonably fast, Magician software gives lot of options to set up the drive. Hopefully I can change the configuration to improve the performance. Being MLC and PRO it eases my mind for not failings prematurely. That remains to be seen.Con: Expected better, but I am not finish with trying with all different settings.I purchased this drive mostly for reliability, and hope this is a case. I purchased it as I wanted it in the first place but did not think I wanted to afford it. Since it came on sale for $399CDN, I thought Marry Christmas to me.I replaced 240Gb Mushkin Reactor an excellent MLC drive, but I ended up wanting a larger drive. I purchased Intel 545 512Gb, with slight performance loss, then I purchased Crucial MX500_250Gb, which was on par with Mushkin as far as performance went, but it vent back to the box as I will sell it to someone who does not need larger size.I also decided to get a larger drive, to take advantage of “Over Provisioning” which is currently set at 10%. TRIM status enabled and RAPID Mode ON.Attached are few pictures from my findings.

Good choice
This was purchased for a new build. Since installation it has been running very well. Iam used to SSD speeds, as I've bought several ADATA SSDs in the past, which I have always found to be excellent. This was a bit cheaper, so I went with it, and am not disappointed with my choice.
