I can remove the top of a 55 gallon steel drum faster than my neighbor can with his special electric drum saw.This is really a valuable thing to have around.Have had it for a while now and can honestly say that it is wonderful, sturdy as all heck and easy to operate.Once you get the hang of it, you can open dozens of drums in a very short time.My only lament is that they don't include or give you the option to purchase more cutting heads, like in a three or five pack.My cutter head got a little dull after over 100 drums.It was super easy to sharpen though, but I'm lazy. When I have my mind on cutting I don't want to stop and sharpen.

I purchased this to de-Head two 55 gallon drums to burn stumps. This device made quick work of removing the bottom while maintaining the integrity of the bottom ring on the barrel. Price point was great and performance even better. Remember the knob on the side adjusts the angle of the cutter, start loose then look at the angle in relation to the bottom. Adjust it so the tool slides and the cutter has a very slight angle facing inward to the barrels center. Push down pull up and slide forward. For the price point you can’t beat it. Does what it says and of course has fast shipping. Highly recommend you get one, even if you just use it a few times. Worth its weight in gold.

This item is pretty good it could be made a little better but overall it does the job well and is worth the price.

I have a few drums that needed the top removed to use as a trash can. After spending some time cutting a few of them open with a grinder/cutting wheel & a Sawzall, I decided to give this a try.Let me say, this tool is soooo much faster & easier to use. I'd also say it's much safer as well. The end result looks much cleaner & doesn't have sharp edges to deal with like the other methods.It was tricky to use at 1st, but I quickly got the hang of it for the next drums. The directions included were pretty good too.I would buy it again if I needed to, but I think this is going to last for quite some time.
