I purchased the 3-pack of Lock Laces for my 83 y.o. mother-in-law who can no longer tie her shoes. These laces come in different colors to coordinate with just about any shoe and they are easy to put in. They can be cut to the length needed and they are elastic so they do stretch a little to make sliding your foot in easier. I no longer have to tie her shoes or worry about her tripping over untied shoe laces. Great product!

Then I tried comparable brands from other makers. Lock Laces stand out somewhat over the others, and they are not all that more expensive. I like that they keep my laces tied and secure. I can choose how much of the laces to leave exposed on the top of the footwear and coming out from where I tuck them in under the laced portions. I can just slip my footwear on, and they’re already tied so to speak. There’s no tripping on untied laces, no stopping during walks or working to tie laces. Sometimes, especially with new footwear, I have found that I have to loosen them and then later after a break-in period, I have to tighten them again. So, there are adjustments sometimes, but that’s easy enough to do with these Lock Laces as long as you leave enough lace to do so. I have never had this brand come undone or lose a clip on the ends of the laces. These have great durability. The only thing I wish Lock Laces would do is make the laces solid black rather than having the white included. The seller reached out right after the purchase to make sure all was okay with the other. I liked that too.

Good product. Easy to put together. Just don’t plan on re-lacing once clasp is locked down and installed. Couldn’t get the clamp off the ends to replace so I will probably have to cut the lace to remove in order to wash as I am using these with my Nike Frees. I purchased to replace gangly laces that can get caught on debris, branches and rocks when wearing for snorkeling, rafting and other water sports when I wear my old frees as water shoes. Works well for that purpose. These are a little expensive for what they are. Should have cost half what they did. I don’t know if I’d purchase again, but I got the three pair so I should be good for a while. Would love if the excess 3” had a hook on the clasp to attach to the bar lace going across the bottom two holes on the shoe to keep it from sticking up. The Nike RN Commuters have this and it works well. These just stick up and look kind of dorky. 4 stars. Half the price and a hook to keep the extra cordage fastened down would have made these a lot better.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I literally never tie my shoes anymore. I wear these with my Brooks (ghost) running shoes which are comfortable and somehow these strings made the shoe even more comfy

As expected, look great and makes it easy to zip pockets with gloves on in the cold weather. Easy to install.

These laces are THE BEST! I've had several pairs in several colors over the last 5 or 6 years. I do NOT miss trying my shoes with arthritic fingers and thumbs. They keep your shoes tight enough not to slip and you can adjust as needed.
