Holmes HAP9412B-UA Small Room HEPA Type Air Purifier

I had no idea how much dust was in my home! A couple years ago I noticed that my nose was constantly stuffed up, my doctor your tried nose sprays, antihistamines, and another of other remedies with no success. Finally someone suggested I get a HEPA filter. After looking at the prices online I was completely shocked Kama this was not a price I could pay at this time. Eventually I found this filter, which was even cheaper at the time that it is currently listed, and decided to give it a shot. Here we are at least two years later and this inexpensive filter has done me a world of good. It's easy to clean and the filters only need to be replaced every once in awhile. Couldn't be happier at this point.

MY wife requires noise and air movement for sleeping (Louder fan). My wife loves the noise this unit makes on the 3rd setting and has good air movement. setting 1 and 2 are pretty quiet. We have 2 cats and a dog and I try to replace the filter every 3 months to ensure the unit doesn't burn out due to a dirty filter. This is the second unit I've owned, the first one lasted several years with thousand of hours of run time. The first one died from the motor burning out and had minimal smell so since it lasted years and died gracefully (Unit didn't appear to get extremely hot or have smoke) I decided to get a second unit.

These only Last until the Warranty Expires. Have had 3 of them and one developed a burning Smell and the 2 others got very noisy and the motors went out on them. The manufacurer could care less - you would think they would want to continue selling the customers their high priced filters. I recommend you purchase a different brand.

Have been using these for most of the year now (~9 mo), in my kids' rooms. They work well and I vacuum out the filter every couple of months. Indeed the lowest level is quiet but insufficient to circulate air, while level three is very loud. My kids sleep just fine with it on level 2. Judging by the amount of dust that I vacuum from the filter, it is doing its job well.

The noise is higher when the setting is up but I would take the noise anything for the relief in my allergies. I also have 4 cats and my home smells less like I have 4 cats. Very sleek design. Works very well.

Arrived earlier than expected. Filter was already installed. Easy operation. It has been running non-stop for about a week now. Eliminates odor from cat litter. Also dissipated the odor of tar from a roof patch.

Awesome product. Fits right under my taller night table. Speeds 1 and 2 are almost inaudible. Had to turn of to speed three just to make sure it was working, it was so quite. I use Speed 3 for white noise while I sleep. Not sure about filters, kinda just keeping an eye on it. Good price as well.
