G.B.S Double Edge Blades for Double Edge, Safety and Shavette Razors - 50 Blades and Styptic Powder Jar stop shaving nicks and bleeding

I tried one of these in a sampler pack I purchased from another retailer. I really loved the balance between sharpness and smoothness, but I figured I'd try some of the other brands in the sampler pack. Last month, I decided enough was enough, and I was going to use the Nacet blades as much as possible, and placed the order for 50 from Amazon.The other day, I threw out all the blades in the sampler pack except the five Feather blades (I am going to try them one day to satisfy my curiosity), and placed an order for another 50 Nacet blades. This is a great blade, and the price allows for frequent changing of the blades (a 50 pack will last you 7-8 months if you use it four times, a great value compared to cartridges) so they never go dull. If you're shaving with a double edge, give these a try. If you're shaving with a cartridge, throw away your cartridges and razor, and switch to a good old fashioned DE and buy these blades. Your face will thank you.

I have been using Feather blades for years but on a whim and recommendation of some other shavers, bought some of these. Wow! I didn't think it was possible to have a better shave than from what I was getting with Feathers, but these Nacets proved me wrong. I'm a daily shaver with moderate stubble growth, but I can easily get 7 shaves out of a blade. Highly recommended!

The Gillette Nacet blade has been a nice surprise. My go-to safety razor blade has been the Astra SP. But I have found the Nacet to be as smooth and maybe a bit sharper than other blades I've used. Right now I would say the Nacet and Astra SP are neck and neck in terms of shaving comfort. I will definitely be getting more when these 50 run out.

I'm disappointed in the sharpness. The first shave is not that comfortable and only getting 2 or 3 shaves a blade. I got 2 or 3 shaves with much cheaper blades so I am disappointed in the Gillette Nacet stainless blades. After the first shave I keep the used blade in an oil bath to help retain blade integrity. I expected longer life of the blades from Gillette for the price.

First off, I really like the Nacet and for me it is a thing of beauty in certain razor.s Muhle R89 and Razorock GC .84 come to mind. Big surprise was using in a Fatip Grande. Three passes and a good deal of cleanup. Took a little longer than expected, but fair exchange for a smooth shave with zero irritation. Look forward to trying them in a QShave (Futur clone), an old Feather Portable (Tech clone) for example and of course some assorted vintage Gillette's from the 50's.

These blades are sharp, but they are not smooth. Even after using them for a couple months, I still have not really warmed up to them because the shave is always pretty harsh, i.e. gives me razor burn (and I don't have sensitive skin).

You can have a lot of fun trying out different blades and razors but I have settled on on Nacents paired with a Henson medium razor smooth, comfortable, and long lasting blades.

Lasts for many shaves with my use when used in the Razorock Slant, the Gillete Super Speed, or the Fatip Bronze Safety Razor... I often use blades for 10 or more shaves.These are great blades, they shave like new for the first 5-7 shaves for me... just be sure you put hot water on a washcloth and hold it against your stubble for 10-15 seconds to soften it before you lather and shave... or shave right after a hot shower.
