works great on my 01 celica
Great sparks, I don't know if my car's spark plugs were recently replaced or not but it feels like I gained 10hp with the new spark plugs. The original was iridium NGK spark plugs. The car feels much more powerful and a lot more peppy when I accelerate. I drive this car every day so I know there's a huge different.I used to have a gas smell in my cabin, and my dad could smell the gas as I drove by. With these spark plugs the smell is completely gone, I haven't noticed them for over a week now.As for the 4 prongs, that's just gimmick, it's more of an insurance incase one prong is worn out. BUT it's not weaker than a single prong, current takes the least resistance path so at ANY given time only one prong is being used, so it is definitely not weaker than those other single prong plugs.

When you only have one or two chances to get it right.
The Bosch Platinum IR Fusion is an excellent plug. It has given excellent service in my old 96 Dodge Caravan 4cyl, my current 95 Chevrolet Astro van VORTEC V-6 :) , and many of the Ford products my brother has/is driving. The particular plug number I bought, Bosch # 4501 is coincidentally the correct crossover to fit in Brigs & Stratten one and two cylinder riding mower engines. The Champion number they take is RC12YC. Compared to the Champions they are "expensive". My reasoning is the Briggs engines only have one or two chances to "get it right". Every time I put these in a Briggs engine there is a MARKED improvement in the way they run. MORE power, smoother running, less black smoke, more cut on a tank of fuel.I also use synthetic oil (with Lucas full Synthetic Supplement & STP) in the engines. I get lower oil consumption to boot.I figure more complete combustion of the gas means less dilution/contamination of the oil. That will help reduce oil consumption.Ammo Guy 8-)Aim small, miss small.

Bosch Spark Plugs - Best on the market !
I purchased Bosch spark plugs for both of our cars. After the intsallation the cars both had improved engine performance. When I took the spark plugs out of the box I saw the excellent quality amd workmanship that went into them. I would recommend this product to anyone thinking of tuning up their car or is in need of spark plugs. I also just installed Bosch wiper blades and they perform excellent and are well worth the higher price.

Great Plugs
Older car with a small 1.8L 4 cylinder engine. Mid 50's mileage on odometer. Switched from Bosch Plat Plus to Fusion Plat IR 4 prong. Car idles so smooth, previous plugs only had 4K miles on them and were clean, 1 inch press on peddle car is at 70 mph. Accelerating up to hwy speed no engine roar, smooth ease on the pedal right up to 60mph to merge. Cruises like a larger engine. Waiting to ck mpg when I run the tank down.Plugs are discontinued by Bosch so grab them. The rebate is $4 p/plug. Waiting for the rebate in the mail 6 wks return time expected with UPC's.

2nd set of these plugs
About 2 years ago I bought the first set of these spark plugs. For two years they worked although recently I started to notice a considerable drop in my mileage. I drive a Toyota Yaris so by considerable drop, I mean about 10 MPG. I went through every other option to see if new synthetic oil, tire pressure, or air filter was causing the drop in mileage. I finally figured out that it had to be something with the old plugs. I ordered these from Amazon and they came in 2 days. Putting them was so easy....actually took 10 minutes from the time I popped the hood until I closed it.I immediately noticed increased pep in the engine and the mileage increased instantly. Before the change, I was getting around 50 miles per 1/8th bar. Now I am getting 60+ (at least for the first few bars).I will update this review as I have more data that shows increased mileage. The downside is that these plugs might have a limited life. I had them in my Yaris for a little over 2 years and about 60K miles. Maybe something caused the demise of one and it effected the total mileage but I don't plan on spending a lot of time finding out if one was bad. These new plugs came with a $4 rebate for for under $2, I can change out the plugs and not have to worry....at least for a couple of years.

Good Plug - However, No Noticeable Fuel Mileage Increase
I have two Toyota Camrys. A 2004 SE and 2006 LE. Both have the same 4 cylinder engine. I have always been religious about checking the gas mileage on my cars at every fill up because this relays to me if anything has gone awry. The '04 had 115,000 miles and the '06 had 45,000 when I replaced the plugs. I replaced them mainly to see if it would help the fuel mileage; unfortunately for me, no difference. I'm sure they are good plugs as Bosch is well known for their high quality, however next time I will probably replace using the factory spark plugs.

IR Spark Plugs
Bosch 4501 spark plugs are great plugs. I use them for my Harley Shovelhead and they never fouled in 2 years of use with a S&S Super B carburetor jetted on the rich side with a .078 main jet for a 84 C.i. engine. I used to have to carry spare plugs with me just in case. I put on a set of new STD big bore cylinder heads on the engine this year and decided to put some brand new plugs in them even though the engine still ran real good with the old plugs in the new heads.
