Great, sturdy little camera... toddler resistant!
We have been very impressed by this camera so far. We bought it to replace a Nikkon Coolpix that our toddler dropped in the bathroom sink (which he had filled with water). Having little guys who sometimes get ahold of our stuff and are not always nice to it prompted us to look for a sturdier and waterproof option. Our sons have taken this camera in the bathtub, and it has sustained a couple of minor drops unscathed thus far. The photo quality is good, but more than that we were extremely impressed by the video! The resolution is very high. We noticed the battery life is short when you're recording video, but that is compensated for by the quick power off/on which saves a lot of battery. I wish it had a removable battery so that we could have one charging while using another, but it charges fairly quickly so this has not been an issue so far.

Great camera for the price
Great camera for the price! Bought this before a trip to Hawaii taking my daughters snorkeling for the first time. We all had fun snapping pics of fish and sea turtles. The girls also like to take it to the pool and take pics of each other under the water. Quality of pics is good when the water is clear; on a couple of our snorkeling days, the water was murky. Really glad I made this purchase, as I intend to have many more snorkeling trips in the future and this is much better than those disposable waterproof film cameras. Would definitely recommend.

DOES NOT FLOAT, and does not last.
This camera floats about as well as a brick, so if you buy it, buy a float strap.I bought this a little over a year ago and have used it to take pictures while playing with our horses in the waters of Tampa Bay. After each trip I soaked it for at least 10 minutes in fresh water before opening it. From the very beginning we were given warnings about making sure the door is closed, so I'm thinking that was just a stock warning. However, we've only used it 4 times in the past year with it stored in the house between trips. Last weekend we tried to use it again, and it filled with water. The deepest it went was a few feet (my float strap works great), so it wasn't a pressure issue.I'm sorry but at the price I paid for it, I really need it to last more than 4 times. Maybe you'll have better luck if you'll be using it around fresh water. Hopefully. Now I have to research a new camera that has all the great features this one does...but doesn't leak. Or maybe not. I can't afford to keep throwing money away on throwaway cameras like this one.

The view window scratches easily. It has taken some falls and survived. Overall, picture quality seems to be average, but i was not expecting this to compete with my DSLR. For occasional uses in the pool, rafting, etc it works great. I do recommend getting the wrist band float for it just in case.

Beware: Not waterproof.
I have had this camera for about 3 years. Takes decent photos for what it is. I took the camera into the shallow surf in Florida (3 to 4 ft.) for about 5 minutes and the camera had sea water in the lens as well as in the window and internally. The camera was working the battery compartment was closed. Now the camera is toast. Just happened on 5-01-16. Now I must see what the manufacturer will do.

This is my third Fuji Fine Pix. I lost one to some friends that borrowed it and another with saltwater for not being careful enough in closing the battery chamber. I have a Nikon 5000 with interchangeable lenses and would rather take my Fine Pix when I travel. My Nikon's trigger froze at 20 degrees F, and the Fuji did fine. It takes great pictures, ease of use and good underwater pictures. With wireless button, it can send the pictures to my phone and my IPAD . I love this camera!

Love it!
We love this camera! One thing we wish we remembered was that the lens can get smudged since it's not covered like a normal camera that opens and closes the lens cap. So some pics appeared to have a smudge on them but it was probably from the lens. Also some water drops appeared in the photos because we didn't always make sure to wipe off the water from the lens. We took the camera down to 42 feet (33 max is allowed I think), so it acted kind of glitchy but got better. :)

Also took pics just outside and they looked fine, so hoping this will be perfect
Won't know if I could give it 5 stars until I use it on our trip. I filled the sink with water and took stills and movies of things in the sink. I found that the movies I took were much sharper than the stills. Saw no sign of leakage. Also took pics just outside and they looked fine, so hoping this will be perfect. Leaving my expensive camera at home to stay safe while I use this at the beach and on the water.
