Removes haze and restores shine to plastic
I use this on all sorts of plastic items other than just headlight covers. I did use it on the headlight covers on my old truck (a 2000 model) and it removed the yellow haze easily. I did have to re-do it a few months later but it worked well again. Using it 2-3 times a year keeps these old headlights clear. I also use it to restore the plastic (Cellidor) scales on my collection of Swiss Army Knives. This brings back the shine to dull scales with a bit of buffing (I just use a microfiber cloth). I've used this same bottle for all the applications on my headlights and for at least 20 Swiss Army Knives. The bottle is still more than half full. One bottle goes a long way as it doesn't take much.

Great polish!!!
This plastic polish is perfect to clean and polish out micro scratches on my motorcycle windshield. I also used this polish to clean up my truck headlight lenses. Almost anything made of plastic with scratches can be polished out with this product.

Worked great on removing the years of oxidation on the lens of my car.I simply used small sponges in a circular pattern, a total of four applications in my case. The lens covers are now clear and not foggy.

Significant Scratches in Plexiglass Windshield
I have a Can-Am Spyder motorcycle. I JUST purchased and installed a new windshield that was not an inexpensive upgrade to this bike. As it happened, I large rock hit my plexiglass windshield at about 70mph and caused three major scratches. Distressed of course as this was brand new and then this happened. The new windsheild did its job however, and that is why its on the bike to begin with. I caught a glimpse of the rock and it was about 3 inches wide and hat that hit me, definitely would have caused a significant injury with the force at which it hit. Its has taken some effort, but it this product was quite amazing. The abrasive used is not too harsh so it did not cloud the plexiglass at all. Each time I used it, it wiped off easily and completely and I could see a difference in getting the scratches removed. The scratches are getting removed more and more as I use the product, wipe it off and repeat the process. The area around the scratches is also highly polished and I am thinking that I will use it to take care of even the smallest nick. Have always trusted Mequiars products and this one is no exception, especially for the price. I am VERY picky about that bike and what I use on it. This is a product that I will keep for this appliction. I am a huge fan of 3M products as well and that is my standard for judgement.Quite honestly, the 3M product I used for this application, which is also amazing...just got retired in favor of this product. As well, that rock also hit my fender before slamming into my windshield. Used this same product. Scratches on the fender are gone, like they were never there. Of course, you might want to try a very small area in an inconspiquous place, which you should do with any product that removes scratches, but I would wager you will find this is a fabulous product and will not harm or mar your plastic painted surfaces where the color is mixed in or on your plexiglass/plastics.

Don't waste your time rubbing it on with hand buffs
The very large headlamp lenses on our 2014 Ford Focus had become terribly translucent due to sunlight ( i.e. UV ray ) damage, because the car was never garage-kept.In order to restore those lenses I had to use my cordless electric hand drill with a Harbor Freight ( Chicago Electric ) #34743 ( Chicago Electric ) 4” loose cotton buffing wheel ( with ¼” shank ) with this product. Even though the drill speed was set to maximum, I still had to apply considerable pressure. After I wiped it it off with a paper towel, the results looked good from 15' away, but standing close to the car I was a bit disappointed with the results. So I went over it again one more time using a little less polish and a lot more pressure. Amazingly, my drill still had enough battery charge left to power this considerably greater torque load. That 2nd polishing came out slightly improved over the first. So I let it be, figuring there would be "diminishing returns" with additional polishing iterations. In the final assessment the lenses were restored to FAR better condition than they were in before the job began. However, up close you can plainly see that they're a cut below new condition. My wife was delighted with the finish, but for the amount of time I put into it, I was a bit disappointed.TIPIf you have UV damaged headlamp lenses, forget about any idea of using this polish using nothing more than hand buffs plus a LOT of elbow grease via your tiring arms. Mark my words, after spending an hour on the first lens you'll be too disgusted to repeat all of that arduous work in order to repeat the disappointment of the first lens. So get yourself a 4" dia loose cotton buff that can be mounted in your cordless electric drill ! Note that the buff is not used like a floor polishing machine, i.e. you must use the radial ( not facial ) surface of the buff. And you might need 2 full battery charges in order to complete one lens restoration.

Headlight restoration made easy
Works great to polish headlights to like new unless they are severely oxidized. Even then, there will be significant improvement. Use with foam polishing pads on a drill
