great value, no regrets
I didn't get this through the VINE program this was a purchase of mine before joining.I needed something cheap to fix my old tub and had no clue how to get a replacement drain plug that would fit the existing drain. However I knew that drains have been standardized for a long time. So, I watched a couple Youtube videos and they agreed on how to remove and measure the part for replacement. This item is the item I settled on as what would suit my needs for my year 1910 house. Granted the bathroom has been remodeled since then. This isn't a fancy drain assembly, but it looks just fine and works great. I have no complaints. You press down and the drain pops up to release the water. press down again and it seals. The install took just a couple minutes and other than needing some plumbers putty, which I already had, everything you need is included, and that also includes the seal for under the tub. That seal can be installed without removing your tub, no worries. simple, simple, I promise. For tools, just use a larger pair of needle nose pliers to twist out the old drain assembly and install the new one. be careful not to cross thread. If you have never installed one, as I hadn't, watch a video. it's super simple. I would have cried if I paid a plumber for this job. Some day I may change the stars given if the items fails. but until then, it deserves the 5 stars for ease of install, functionality, and value for price. In this photo after install you can see how the plumbers putty squeezes out to show that you have a good water tight seal. just rub your finger around and it will ball up and you can toss the left over putty in the trash. Sorry for the poor lighting in there.these are the outside measurements, of the threaded area, that will match your old drain if you are ordering the right size:~47mm/1.84in(close to 1-7/8)

A great tub stopper!
I used to live in constant fear that my bathwater would betray me, spiraling down the drain like my hopes and dreams. But not anymore! This tub stopper is the Gandalf of bathroom accessories—standing firm and declaring, “YOU SHALL NOT PASS!”Installation was a breeze—just plop it down like a royal decree, and suddenly, my tub retains water better than my landlord retains my security deposit. It’s so good at its job that I’m now considering using it to plug the metaphorical holes in my life.If you enjoy baths and despise the concept of unintended drainage, buy this. If you don’t, well, enjoy your shallow, lukewarm puddles of regret.

It didn't fit my drain...but looks like a really nice quality.
I was disappointed that I couldn't install this drain. It has coarse threads (probably for more modern PVC attachment), and my old drain had the 1 3/8" fine threads. Of course, I didn't realize this until I had pulled the old drain out and was ready to install the new one. So, it was a run to the local big box to find a match. I did find one, and it looks about the same - for double the price. But, the quality if the one I bought locally is also not as good as this one. The mechanism on this one looks solid with a brass mounting bolt. The one I bought locally only has a nylon bolt and the mechanism is smaller with only a rubber tube encasement. So, the bottom line is that I wish I could have used this drain. If they made one in the same style with the fine threads, I would definitely have opted for that one. It seems like good quality for the money.

NOT 1 1/2. Wrong size in description.
THIS IS NOT 1 1/2 this is 1 7/8..... completely wrong size on description.Other than that, quality for the price seems decent, returning due to wrong size on the description.
