Gruyere Cheese, 1 Pound

If you are a cheese lover, you should try this cheese. I have prepared all kinds of appetizers, and my friends prefer this to other similar types of cheese.

It was very good. Used it for my macaroni and cheese and it tuned out very good.

Exactly what the seller described. I understand this is a small merchant, trying to establish a business. They win, on my part. The cheese was exactly what they described, European Gruyere Cheese, in carefully cut one-pound blocks, with the original wrapper from Switzerland. Packed in a FEDEX box with an icepack that was still cool. Shared this with my family at happy hour, and received a rave review. This merchant deserves the five stars that I have given.

Extremely disappointing is the least that I can say. When you look at the picture they offered, and I opened the package it came, it was not what I expected. The product is of good quality, but the little pieces it came, it can be bought at the local supermarket for much less. It was shipped with two small bags of ice, which it didn't last, and the cheese came soft and warm. Definitely, I wouldn't buy this product again from this merchant, even if they discount it. I will pick it up at the supermarket, fresh, cold, and exactly the same product. I felt betrayed, just with the picture. Deceiving advertising.

Absolutely delicious, my favorite cheese ever and this certainly was one of the best Gruyer cheese I’ve ever eaten. Yummy

Arrived with the freeze pack cold, a plus. Thick rind section, both sides so net edible weight significantly less than normal. Cheese is hard so texture is not up to standard. Taste is only very slightly reminiscent of Gruyere. No marking on on the rind as to provenance. Inferior to store bought Cheddar Will return to iGourmet.

The is a good brand and I like the flavor (I've had a better tasting brand before but have been unable to find it again). This is an excellent replacement.
