Extremely wrinkled after washing.
After reading other reviews, I took a chance on these cotton napkins. I’ve avoided cotton napkins in the past because of how wrinkled they get from washing. These were taken from the dryer right away. I have also included a photo of one napkin after two, long passes with a steam iron. The one thing I will say is that the colors are vibrant and beautiful. I’m really disappointed at how terribly wrinkled these are.

Not too wrinkled and absorb well — great napkins
17 Jan 2021 - Updating the review after using the napkins for over a year now. They've faded A LOT. They still feel nice but are much paler, especially on the folds. Reducing the rating to 3*.28 Nov 2019 - original 5* review:We’ve been using these napkins for about a month now. They’re great. I make a point of shaking them out after washing them, before I put them in the dryer. I take them out of the dryer right away and smooth them out with my hands, then fold them. They don’t end up wrinkled this way. They don’t look ironed but still are very nice for daily use. Were very happy with them, they absorb well.

Nice napkins! Washed without wrinkling much at all!
These napkins are great. I have washed and folded two packs of them and they are thick and substantial enough that they didn't wrinkle too much in the wash. They also didn't shrink (with the dryer set to low). I flattened them with my hands as I folded, and while they are not completely wrinkle free, they are darn good. I didn't even get them out of the dryer right away. The colors of the aqua and taupe that I bought are beautiful. The taupe is a bit richer and slightly more gold than I imagined, but I love it. Also, they were all nice and square, which has been an annoying problem with napkins for me in the past. They have a kind of rustic look and feel, so I don't know how they would be for very elegant table settings, but I love the casual, so they are great for me.

WORTH THE MONEY
I did not purchase these to use as napkins, but to use in making mask for myself and other family members. They perfectly meet the measurement give by the CDC for masking making without sewing. The fact that they are sturdy and very nicely hemmed, other than folding them properly with your choice of bands or straps, you will have a mask that is perfectly made and fitted. The CDC also shows how to enter an insert, which I plan to use, with no additional work. I'm getting ready to order another set. Hopefully they are still available. Definitely would recommend!!!This is a P.S., guess I won't be ordering this set. They have gone up $6 since last week!!

Perfect green
Okay, so these aren't wrinkle free, but I don't think it would take much steam or ironing to get them that way. I personally like the slightly wrinkled look... It goes with the laid back farmhouse theme I have in my home. I love the color! I ordered this color specifically so I could get away with purchasing only one set and use them for both fall and winter place settings. It's the perfect green for that in my opinion. They have a good weight to them and have been washed a good 6 times so far and have held up well. Only time will tell, but I'm very happy with my purchase!

using it for my altar - a spiritual person’s review
i’m not using this for its actual purpose, just using for my small altar. if you’re spiritual and on a budget, buy this! i have a small altar (very small) and this works. you don’t need to buy actual tablecloth etc especially if your altar isn’t even on a table. white represents purity and basically everything so you can’t go wrong with white! you get a lot in here. you can simply wash it if your altar gets a little messy (i mean, it is white. stains will show up easily and you want your altar to be pretty and presentable for your guides) or simply throw it away. so many uses for these napkins. work with what you got! for those who are reading this, may you be blessed! spread love and light! 🤍🧿

About what one would expect for inexpensive napkins - okay for casual occasions, not formal.
Positives: 1) Not much shrinkage (1/4 inch all around) after laundering in cold water and drying on low temp. 2) Bright white in color 3) mitered hem, as described 4) fabric is soft and absorbency is adequate for small blots, not major lap spills.Negatives: 1) The fabric is quite thin, similar to bed sheets. 2) The edges are not consistently even and do not match up when folding. Sometimes the bias is off. 3) These napkins definitely require ironing - they are not wrinkle resistant, but they do steam iron out relatively smoothly

We love these napkins
Our last napkins, which are now working as rags had a lace trim. The trim over time unravelled or ripped away from the napkins. While we liked the napkins and how soft they were (softer than these) they only stood up to about 3 years of use. So I bought these to replace our old cloth napkins. I like that they do not have a trim. They remind me of a thick dress shirt material wise. They do soften a bit over time after washing. They do wrinkle because they are cotton. If I was having a nice dinner I might iron them. But for day to day use I just try to get them right out of the dryer and fold them. Not perfect, but perfectly usable for day to day use.

Review for napkins
Not sure why reviews for napkins and towels are being lumped in together by Amazon, but whatever.I see the price has now dropped $6 from what I paid a couple of weeks ago, to $21, so if you can get these for less, do.I like the generous size and the thickness of these white napkins. They're 100% cotton, made in India, and seem to be well sewn. They washed well (cold water wash with liquid detergent, then hot water wash with liquid detergent before the first use), and came out of the dryer (next day) with minimal wrinkling. I look forward to seeing how these hold up after multiple hot water washes in the months to come, and will post an update.I bought these to use as handkerchiefs, not napkins, because I've had such awful luck finding handkerchiefs that aren't threadbare thin (brand new) and poorly sewn. These napkins will do well as handkerchiefs, and also for Old West stick-em-up-style spur-of-the-moment temporary face muzzles now that muzzling is required again because of the potato variant.
