Hikari Usa Inc AHK21316 tropical Algae Wafer 2.89-Ounce

I buy these for my snail. After it's cleaned all the glass and decorations, it needs more food. I like these because they sink right to the bottom and stay put. Other brands I've had floated and made a mess of the tank. I had plenty live algae on the tank when I first got this snail but it didn't take long before the glass was sparkling clean and it needed another supply of algae. It may take some time for your snail to become familiar with bottom feeding if they've always eaten algae only on the glass sides but it will eventually find it. Clean glass means patience with bottom feeding as they'll find it when they get hungry enough. One wafer will last for several days if you have only one snail. Not sure about other algae eaters. My snail is housed with a male Betta who doesn't eat algae at all but pelleted Betta food sprinkled on the surface.

These wafers are so good that my gold fishes eat them too. The Algae eaters enjoy these things I have observed them sucking the wafers and picking it up moving it to another position so it can eat. As I stated my gold fishes eat the wafers and i am concerned because the Algae eaters are not getting to eat them as I wish. I have feed the gold fishes on one side of the tank while dropping four wafers on the other side of the tank where the eaters frequent. Now the price is a bit much, ijs.

The pleco seems to enjoy them. My cats also enjoy them (the wafers).. The pleco is growing rapidly and looks healthy.. Don't know if it's these or just the algae in the tank but I'm happy. I give him a few tabs a week. The other fish eat them as they dissolve. They don't stay together as a tablet for very long so I try to drop them near the pleco when he is out foraging. He usually goes right over and sucks on it. After a few hours it turns to mush and floats apart and the rest of the fish eat it.. If it wasn't for that I would give it 5 stars.

It's like a neighborhood picnic when this is dropped in the tank. The Corys come to the "table" right away. Definitely have these on hand for every day feeding

I bought these for my snails but the fish love them so they usually eat it before the snails get a chance.

Even our goldfish try to eat this.
