Surprisingly decent for the price
Overall a decent way to mount a fence. But nothing remarkable. For the price it's hard to say it's not worth it. It's not going to be as sturdy as a fence built with more expensive hardware, but for suburbia, it's far more than enough.Upsides:Generally easy to put together and will work with the far majority of gate sizes you might need to make.Works with 2x4s perfectly. I expected it to be less snug around the "severe weather" 2x4s from the hardware store, but it was actually a rather good fit once I started cutting and assembling it.If you are a first time gate builder, and aren't comfortable with making a traditional gate with a compression diagonal truss, This is a good choice.I'm pretty confident in saying that this equipment would hold a rather heavy gate, and anything you are building that would be anywhere near your typical cookie cutter house would never need a gate heavier than this can hold.Downsides:The mounting of the gate frame (wood frame with brackets installed without pickets) to the fence itself. You will most likely need someone to help screw in the hinges while you hold the gate. Nothing major, just something to plan for. I'm able to make a more traditional gate near single handed, due to being able to mount the hinges hardware before cutting the gate to exact sizeThe two brackets I received were in good condition, however I did notice one of the brackets was bent ever so slightly (reference attached pictures). It was easy to correct by forcing the frame pieces into place. One the 2x4s were screwed on, the brackets was forced back into square. Or at least enough to never notice. Just make sure to have a hammer on hand.

Great product for first time gate builder.
So far I like these a lot. They are heaver and more solid than I expected. Should give service for years if maintained - i.e. touch up paint as needed etc.Best advice: Make sure your work surface is flat. I doesn't have to be level but it does need to be flat. Learned this lesson with the first gate. Second one done in 1/3 of the time as the first - my bad.Only ding I'd give is for the screw holes underneath the angle cross bar. Difficult to screw straight unless you have a very long drive bit. I did not attempt to use the supplied screws, opting for some deck screws instead (I painted the heads black to match.).

Straight forward and easy.
I bought this over a year ago and finally got around to building my gate. OMG this makes it easy, straight, and no bull. If your measurements are correct and your cuts are straight, it is as simple as can be. Just naughty a second one for my side gate. I'll let you know how that goes in a year or two.

Quick and easy.
Great option to simplify gate building and ensure your corners are good. The hinges don't seem to be made to hold a ton of weight as it did look like it was starting to sag a bit after about a week ago I reinforced it with another hinge and added a spring loaded wheel to help support it. The side of the hinges where the vertical 2x4 goes was also too tight to fit a 2x4 so I had to use the table saw to make it more like a 2x3. Overall, I liked it enough that I ordered another one to add a gate in the other side of the house.

Good, Solid bracing system
Have built hundreds of gates over the years for myself and others. Never tried a product like this. Finally had to install new gates to my new fence after 35 years (I built the original gates then as well). While my old gates never sagged or gave me problems, at my age thought this product would make it an easier job and I was right. Would never go back to building "the old way" unless I had to.

Yes, definitely recommend, rescue dog approved!
I needed this to replace a gate that I had built but needed a wheel on it. After 6 years the wheel had worn a path in our wood deck and was no longer opening or closing smoothly. I was wary about all the promises that it would be square without any extra effort. From start to finish took only an hour, was square, sturdy, so easy. I have 7 dogs and need to be able to rely on my fences and gates. I’ll be replacing another 2 soon and I will definitely use this kit for both!2 months after install 7/22/25: the screws that came with the set are already rusting. Also, the gate I made is 3’x3’, with a 2”x4” frame with wire mesh. Max 5 lbs. the gate is already sagging. I’m going to try using longer screws that I already have to re attach it. It was originally an easy install, I hope it I can salvage it. Just a heads up be prepared to use longer sturdier wood screws than what come with the set
