Best value overall
Ive purchased and installed several key code pad locks over the years. This one was the easiest one to install. It also is the most well made. Great price too!

Slightly odd function, but work great.
Use these at the beach house for our owners closets so we don’t forget the keys. They’re a little odd at first but work well and are very secure.

The lock works good
This key and code door lock works good and is well built. I previously had a code door lock that used an app and it was a super pain. That lock would fail at times and it was rolling the dice if you could get into the house. Nope. Ditched it for something that doesn't use an app or a battery. This may be Stone Age technology but you don't have to worry about getting into your house and no batteries is a big plus in my book. The installation wasn't hard but the bolt that goes into the door frame's hole is deeper than other door locks I have had so took some boring with a drill bit into the door frame to get it to go into it and equally the shaft that goes into the door was bigger and deeper too so took more boring into the door to get it to go fit. The code was simple to do, just put in the numbers you want using the small metal blocks and take the other metal blocks out. Looked like a brass type of metal that forms your code and is different than the other metal blocks so it is important to make sure you keep the extra blocks in a place that won't get discarded away. To lock, just turn the outside knob all the way to the left and it will lock and then push your code and turn the knob to the right to open. Inside the knob is elliptical and you turn it to the left to open and to the right to lock. I like this lock and the fact of no more Russian Roulette if the thing will open or not means so much to me.No more locks for me that need an app or WiFi to work, or needs batteries. This lock is simple and direct. What are the cons? I wished I could keep the door closed when the lock is opened but it is either locked, it will keep the door closed, or unlocked and your door will come open, nothing stopping it from staying closed. The bolt that goes into the door frame is either totally into the frame or totally inside the door. The other con is I have big hands and the outside knob is small and close to the metal numbered blocks that stick out some so I will hit my knuckles on the numbered blocks if I am not careful and it smarts. I wished they made the outside knob bigger or at least make it go further out from the numbered blocks. I also would have liked a normal inside door knob rather than the elliptical knob, but it isn't a deal breaker to me on that but rather a preference.Overall though, you can't go wrong with this door lock and if you are like me and don't want to take a chance on if you can get into your house with an app or batteries, this is a no brainer!

Nice secure lock , so happy ordered a second one
This does exactly as I wanted, a deadbolt with mechanical code, no batteries required and a fraction of the price! It’s a nice smooth would construction, make sure to read the directions and programming and changing codes is fairly straight forward and easy

Shutting door automatically locks door--no "normal" latch function. No knob on other side.
I purchased this lock as a way to keep my son out of our basement when he's grounded from electronics. We've tried multiple lock methods, but he's found a way around every one of them. Since the basement door is an interior door, a standard deadbolt wasn't an option, but this lock gave us the security of a deadbolt without the need to drill a second hole for a deadbolt. The pros: it does do the job. The dead bolt stays locked pretty well. The fact that it's keypad entry instead of keyed is super handy. The not so pros: The mechanical aspect works, but it can be a little spotty. Sometimes I have to enter the code multiple times to get it to open. And finally, the cons: the door is either locked or ajar. This is the biggest irritation to me. If you turn the knob, the door locks automatically. There isn't an option to just have the door shut but not locked. Since we usually leave the door open, it's not a huge deal, but this makes it unsuitable for an exterior door or a home with small children. The other con is that there isn't a door knob on the other side--its just a latch like a deadbolt would have, which makes it pretty impractical if you have a door you have to pull from the non-keyed side--especially if it's a heavy door. It does, however, appear to have standard spaced bolts, so it looks like you could probably place a normal door knob on the other side, but I haven't tried it, so I can't say for sure. For the price, it's pretty okay, but I wouldn't recommend for a frequently used door.

Perfect lock, easy installation. Nice matte finish
I was looking for a manual mechanical lock to replace my old fashion standard deadbolt and I didn’t want battery operated one for fear of maintaining a dead battery but also for technical religious reasons I wanted a non electric one for sabbath observance.Learning from the advice of reading others reviews, I opted to order the sturdy upgraded knob style and not the lever one.Installation instructions were easy to understand and follow along.Pro tip I discovered (this is my first time setting up the lock but this is my experience): There is up to 6 “code” characters and it also comes with blanks t fit in for the “non code” spaces. However, I wanted to set an easy code than pressing 6buttons so I tested just leaving spaces empty and it worked to allow me to set a shorter code. This also means that your code cannot be longer than 6 characters in length..Contrary to other reviews it was well “oiled” and came with gel so all the mechanics worked smoothly. However I cannot say it’s built the strongest yet it’s well worth the price! I won’t have to pay to make copies anymore (it did come with 3 copies) and I don’t have to worry about giving an app access to my house..and I can modify the code after a guest leaves.
