I bought this because I was plugging a sewer in a newly finished basement. I had to lower the inflatable plug below the top of the drain so I could install carpet squares. This allowed me to fill the inflatable plug nicely. I'm plugging sewer because water appliances are in rear of basement, drain is in front and floor isn't sloped properly in 70 year old home. Reclaiming space in front and don't want sewer gasses coming through. In an emergency, I can lift the carpet tile, deflate plug and squeegy water to sewer. I didn't own a hand pump, so I bought a small/compact bicycle tire pump and used it. I didn't want to risk blowing up the plug with an air compressor volume.

Works nicely, quality built. Installed 2 in my vehicles for the buried spare tires. Now I can check the psi in a matter of minutes instead of 10-15. Just make sure the connection is tight and not leaking at the valve stem and keep the hose positioned so that the valve stem is not twisted or bent. Should have plenty of length to do this.

Great product. It effectively transfers the valve function from the actual valve to the far end of the yellow tube. I used it to sink an inflatable rubber ball used for temporary sewer pipe blockage into a sewer pipe through a cleanout. Once fitted with this extension, I could inflate the ball with a normal bicycle pump and later deflate it by pressing into the center valve stud, even though the inflated ball was several feet below the surface and not reachable.Will store this product with the matching inflatable sewer block for future use (poisoning roots invading the sewer line).

Can't really compare this to similar products - there aren't many - but this did the job for me. Seems to be very tough. I pulled a bone-headed move and started to deflate a test ball before releasing the pressure in the plumbing system, and BOOM! The pressure in the pipes (just 5 psi) launched the test ball into the other end of the test tee and jammed this extension hose in between the ball and tee fitting. I had no choice but to pull on the extension hose to get the test ball loose. No damage done; still holds pressure without leaking.By the way, that mistake is one good reason to use extensions rather than trying to pressurize the test ball directly. If I had been deflating the test ball right at its valve, my hand would have been caught between the test ball and the tee fitting. Ouch!

It had such a terrible smell that I could not wash it off my hands.

Very well built. Should withstand constant pressure.I used it to extend the fill valve for my spare tire under the floor of the trunk.Ran it through a small hole I made in the panel. Now I can check the 60 PSI spare without removingeverything from the trunk.
