Ear pain and (resolved) microphone issues.
So with my laptop, which has a dedicated combo headset (headphone + microphone), plugging this in disables the built-in microphone but barely provides any microphone signal. I checked the input settings, levels and sensitivity, but any sound going through the microphone is too quiet for anyone to hear me. The on/off setting on the wire works to turn it off, and the +/- adjusts the sound level, but nothing I could find in any settings fixed the low microphone volume.5/11/2020UPDATE! So the microphone issue was 100% the laptop. An updated driver resolved this. I also used the headset for about an hour without any pain. I've increased my rating as my experience has improved. Perhaps your ears will need some adjustment time to get used to the headphones. My only lingering complaint is that the cord is heavy and a bit cumbersome. In the case of my desktop, I have to unplug my speakers if I want to use the headset - but that's really more an issue of the available ports on the desktop/speakers and not really related to this. I'd just say if you were in that scenario, you might want to consider pure USB-connected headphones.Additionally after wearing this headset for about 45 minutes, my ear started to ache really badly. I think the firmness of speaker portion is problematic. The foam is very, very thin and collapses, and my ear presses right against that firm speaker grille.

Big Head set maybe not for small headed console players
So what they don't tell you in the brochure is that there's two separate plugs one too light up your headphones and the other one for your sound now unless you're working with the computer these gaming headsets or kind of pointless not to mention the cord is like 60 to 80 ft long okay I'm exaggerating a little bit but it is like 10 feet long for real and super heavy .also the headphones if you have a larger head than most people than these headphones would be good but I tend to be on the smaller side of the head Spectrum show their little too big and they slip. I will say the sound quality to this head set is outstanding though and I'm sure the noise cancellation part would work better if I had a bigger head and fit the headphones better so yeah if you're like me and have a small head I would recommend a different headset

A tank with a sensitive side
Holy cow this head set is amazing! Here are my pro's and con'sPros =+ Structurally sound+ Comfy earcups/foam pads+ Adjustable boom mike+ Great and deep sound quality+ Mic is very sensitive with picking up sounds+ Got tons of compliments for how crystal clear the mic sounded on Discord and work meetings+ The rope cord is very durable+ Very reasonable priceCons =- Wish it came with more mic covers- The self adjusting part needs to get used to instead of past headsets adjusting it myself- Because of the metal framing it can be a bit heavy on the head but definitely not the heaviest I've wornDefinitely a bang for your buck and worth the buy if you need a great PC gaming headset!I'm expecting this headset to last a long time but will absolutely be buying this again when it does break down.

Comfy and Crisp - Finally a decent gaming headset
So far my reviews of headsets have been scathing. Until now. All of em have pretty much been stop trying, or go home and try again. Either the Sound sucks, or its uncomfortable or it doesnt have a dedicated volume button - the list goes on and on.The PROS:*These are without a doubt some of the comfiest headsets I've ever had. It features tension strings negating the need to make adjustments for your (my) big head. Seriously more manufacturers should go to this approach.*In-line Mute (must haves for those that use apps without a PTT feature)*Dedicated volume button also In-Line (must have for anyone who likes music. PERIOD)*Very Flexible MIC, does pretty good at noise cancelling but could be better (honestly this is hard to achieve anyway) - Personally it is made with the best flexibility right where you can perfectly place it anywhere you want it.*Nice tough long cord and comes with a Single Stereo Combined Jack to Separate Audio/MIC conns for older rigs. Thanks for that!! (I needed that one)*Obviously these are not Sony DJ cans. So dont expect the mobile version of a Martin Audio sound system here. BUT for WIW these are damn fine sounding.*Utility wise - it has everything needed for the avid gamer, including little lights in the headphones* Well constructed. It doesnt look like it is a dainty POS because: it's not! Aluminum frame holds in well built speakers and looks sharp to built. There aren't many but these are more like improvements for the most part they could make. But with the good there is always some bad or at least not perfect anyway! The CONS:*They are a bit on the bulky side. Granted they are insanely comfy but also feels like I'm wearing a space helmet. Maybe ditch the LED and make a slightly cheaper slightly less bulky version.*Speaking of LED's unless you are under 20 some of could give 2 shifts about glow in the dark WTF ever. I can turn off the feature by unplugging the USB power cable which soaks up a front bezel port I need, and all that is OK but at the same time it makes the cable heavier and well -- Why not throw a watch battery in the the in-line control and power the LED's that way with a toggle. Saves on port, saves on connector, makes it slightly cheaper and you dont usually want the light on 24-7 anyway. For me all i have a USB power cable dangling around doing nothing but making the cable heavier.*Which brings me to the next con -- the aforementioned cable is stout for sure, but also a bit heavy - the in-line control module needs an alligator clip badly*The headphones if not properly positioned can distort sound. I think perhaps the tension on the headset wires could be a hair tighter. But not too tight of course! With a little wiggly jiggly you can get it where you need it.*No way to change color without reversing the side the MIC is on. I cannot stand my MIC being on my right side. But I wanted the Blue LED's if I was ever going to have them on. Or purple. No variety of color in the model I chose.* Lastly - the MIC gets in my peripheral when not in use. IF I expect to use it I keep it low but it still annoys me. Because it does have a little spring to it I really have to work hard to get it out of my peripheral vision when not in use. To me its the perfect MIC if they just put either a clip to hold it out of your peripheral maybe on the ear cradle plastic or even made that a little mini rotating ring. Just enough to get it out of view when not in use.OVERALL: Many companies have just gotten it wrong wrong wrong wrong. MPOW has made a fantastic gaming headset here and with a few minor tweaks these guys have the best headset out there in my humble opinion.Try to perfect that sound, and noise cancelling, work on the LED's, improve the MIC a little bit more but this is a super nice solid headset that is RIDICULOUSLY comfy and now that I know they can Engineer something really nicely I'll be keeping these guys in mind and seeing if they have anything to offer on my next electronics purchase. Good Job!

Very decent for the price! (One month after purchase)
I have had to replace a number of headsets with three teenage gamers in the house over the last few years due to cables twisting causing audio failure, or the headsets just falling apart after a few months of use (not abuse). This headset is very sturdy and I doubt they will ever fall apart. The audio cable is decent quality and has not kinked or twisted at all during the time we have owned these (we have two sets of these because the Razer headsets we had did not last more than 6 months, and their customer support is pathetic, so I decided on cheaper ones). It does not look like the cable will ever kink. The sound is not very loud but it is likely the audio coming from the PC it is hooked up to. Recommended if you want a decent headset that will not fall apart after a while and also not break the bank.

Feels top notch considering the price
I purchased this for my son for his gaming machine... I must admit I have been using it for myself. Clarity, Comfort, Noise cancellation and awesome sound, what else can one want? The tiny buds give me ear aches, so I am happy to throw these big babies on and play and listen in comfort, the fact it is corded into the computer actually is a good thing unless you are 14... Cheers Now I have to buy another one for the young fella

Big, comfortable, good quality, and fast delivery.
I just got it in the mail and it came after only 5 days even though it came from America (i live in Australia). It's nice and large which is fantastic as I have quite large ears, it's also has quite a good sound quality that rivals the "premium brands".There are not many negatives but all I would say is that the mic isn't removable but that's about it and I knew that so I wasn't lied to either. All in all the headphones are worth your money and are far cheaper and probably better than the premium brands.
