It works great but is noisy
I added a line to my ice maker from my APEC 50gpd RO filter but it wasn't filling the tray fully like straight from tap. Adding this pump and removing the ASO significantly increased pressure and fixed the ice issues. A wonderful side effect is my RO faucet now fills water bottles and other containers 2x faster. I can't speak to reduced waste water but I can believe it, the RO now takes only maybe 30 minutes to regenerate when I draw a lot of water from it.Connection to my RO system was pretty easy, just check out a YouTube video or follow the included instructions. I didn't test for TDS before I added the pump but I do think the levels went up slightly after adding the pump, but that is probably because I disabled the auto shutoff. Still 30ppm from RO vs 400ppm TDS from tap makes a huge difference. I refused to drink our water or ice before I put this in.I did not know there was a quieter version of this pump that worked with 50gpd systems when I ordered, or I would have gotten that. I have sound proofed my cabinet as much as possible but it's still pretty noticeable clicking on and off after you draw water. We only really notice it though when the house is quiet. If TV is on its not a big deal. All in all this is a very worthwhile upgrade to any RO system, especially if you have attached an icemaker.

Works great! Fill two tanks now...
Works great!Had a tank that I had replaced because I thought there was problems with holding air pressure. The new tank seemed to do better, but I put a little air into the old tank and stored it away. Several months later, their was very little water coming out of the RO faucet. So, I changed out the filters and checked the tank pressure, but no luck, it still didn't improve. I didn't have a way to measure the pressure from the city's line, but it seemed low, so I decided to install this pump as a potential solution.I went ahead and opted to use the pump as the cut off valve and removed the pressure valve that came with the system. Now, even with the city's low pressure, the tank is full, and the output from the RO faucet is great! I was happy withe results of finally have a full tank, vs. the usual half to 2/3 full, that I pulled the old tank out of storage and installed T and added it to the system. Now I have two tanks, both full! Not sure I can say that it actually processes the water any faster, but you can hear it working. It does make a click noise as it works, as others have said, but it's in the kitchen and it doesn't really bother me. I suppose if you were very sensitive about it, you could wrap it in some sort of sound absorbing material, it doesn't have any external moving parts or generate any heat since it just works off of line pressure.Great help to solving my RO problems!

Rated for 100-120 GPD Membrane
Upgraded to a 100 GPD membrane and needed to swap the permeate pump ERP500 with this ERP1000 to match the 100 GPD membrane. This works well but is noisier than the ERP500. Also changed the flow restrictor to 100/120 GPD to balance the system.

It does what it’s supposed to, cuts down on water usage!
I bought this after I realized my ASO was never shutting off and my RO water production had slowed down dramatically over the winter months as the incoming water temps dipped into the 40s. At first I used it in conjunction with the ASO to keep it from turning on every time I filled something, but I noticed that the ASO was turning on every time I filled a glass anyway, so I ended up just removing that and gaining full city pressure in my RO tank which was great cuz we were managing to run the tank out pretty easily. I took a bicycle pump and pumped the storage tank up to 40 PSI and now get plenty of water to cook, make coffee, and fill the hot water machine all in a pretty short time period. We just went through the holidays without running out of water once. Without the permeate pump I would be wasting a lot of water and wouldn’t be getting as much out of my RO system, so I don’t see why anyone shouldn’t get this to go in conjunction with their RO system. With all that said it does make some noise, I ended up wrapping a wash cloth around it and made sure the drain tube is tight and not touching anything, the noise is still noticeable but nothing we haven’t gotten used to and don’t really notice. Plus to me it’s worth it having the RO system operate much more efficiently and quickly. They do make a version that’s supposed to be quieter but it wasn’t big enough for my RO system.

Works well, do watch some youtube videos before install, keep the shutoff valve
The device works well. As others have said, def has a clicking sound, yet it does not go on forever. Takes a while to first fill and re-fill if you're installing on a new system. After things are up and running, it does not go on too long to get the pressure back to speck. I wrapped the drain line in a foam pipe cover and also mounted the unit to the Apec frame with a bit of foam between and then added a bit more foam between the device and cabinet. All that helps, yet it is not silent, just not as pronounced. Overall, it does what it should, good flow, and the icemaker and fridge work fine. If you have a refrigerator filter, bypass or remove it if you have an auto bypass. You don't need it with the RO system, and it will save $ on buying filters you don't need.

After six months the pump started to leak from the housing. The company never returned my emails.
