Buy this
This game is so awesome! I have a little one who hates reading, like completely hates it, but she absolutely looooves this game and begs to play it often! The fly swatter makes it so fun for kids. I can't recommend this game enough, I just wish I would've bought it sooner. I should also note that the 10 year old that is an advanced reader loves to play this game as well

Great game
OK, this is a fun game that definitely helps your little one work on sight word recognition. There are 5-6 groups that are color coded that correlate with a word list on notecards. You have someone read the words, and the players quickly try to find the word on the fly shaped cards. First one to smack it with their flyswatter picks it up. Very easy to understand, and very fun once you get into it. If the person reading the words is also playing, I find it best to have them turn so they can't see where the word is on the table and give themselves an advantage. You can use different groups to have a bigger pool, or just use a single group to keep it smaller.

Helps struggling kids learn sight words
My son is in kindergarten and struggled with flash cards. Nothing like our first kid and needs extra attention. He couldn’t remember the words and started to disconnect. I found this game and incorporated flash cards that we created and slowly added new words. We play this as a family and we obviously let him win at times to build his confidence. He is now on track with his class. This has been helpful for him and help us keeps him away from his electronics. I highly recommend trying out this game if you child is struggling with learning words.Ways we play:Option 1(word not known): Parent shows the flash card and reads the word and ask the child to repeat the word . Child finds the word on the fly. First to slap the card keeps the card. The one with the most wins.Option 2 (word known): Parent shows the flash card and the child reads the word and they find the word. First to slap the card keeps the card. The one with the most wins.Option 3 (when word is known by sight) : one person calls out the word on the flash card and the child and one other person finds the word. First to slap the card keeps the card. The one with the most wins.

Awesome, easily adaptable sight word/language development game for kids!
I've got a child with some learning delays and that really struggles with language/reading. I've been looking for some fun games and activities we can do to help her since flash cards just don't hold her attention and work for her. I was really excited to try this game out and all 4 of my kids (ages 6, 6, 4 and 2) saw it and wanted to play. It was fun and easy to adapt for all of them. I used the harder level words for one of my older kiddos, the easier levels for the middle two, and for my 2 year old, we just had her smack certain color flies that we'd call out with the fly swatter. I think there could be a lot of adaptations you could do to help keep this fun and interesting and age appropriate for different ages and skill levels. We're really excited to just this more! My only (very minor) complaint is that I wish it came with a box instead of a bag to store it in so it was easier to store with our other games. But aside from that I love everything about it!

Created our own game with us
The media could not be loaded. Absolutely love this game. We have created our own list from the words to be able to practice sight words list from our child’s teacher. Great way to make it more fun.

good but messed up
First of all this is a fun game to play with kids who learning sight words. But some of our little flies looked scratched up before even using them almost like it was previously used before us. Also some the word cards have words that don't match up with that color for instance six was on the purple word card but a pink fly. Also like mentioned the color backing isn't consistent so you can't really sort them to keep colors organized and easy to use one level at a time instead you have to literally go and find each color of the level you are doing and hope you get them all since they are messed up and not all accurate!! Honestly all a little upsetting after spending so much on it!!

Great for learning to read
This is good value for the money. There are a lot of cards (which you do not have to pop out of a cardboard sheet before use, hurray!), the fly swatters are sufficiently durable, and it all comes with a cute bag, which was a very nice touch! My triplet 5 yr olds enjoy swatting words with the fly swatter more than just staring at flash cards for sure. I'm pretty confused about the word difficulty levels - there are six difficulties (different colors of flies) and some of the easy ones seemed harder than the hard ones and vice versa. I assume they consulted someone more trained in teaching a kid to read than I am so there must be a method to their approach, but it would have been nice if the little cards indicated skills being worked on at each difficulty level. Despite that, this is a great product and I've recommended it to several other moms.
