Great trowel
I am very satisfied with this tool. It is well made and tough. I have clay soil so I needed something that wouldn't bend. Great for digging dandelions too.

A better shaped trowel and sharp
The trowel is wide, but paired with a thin and long horn-hori, I have the double-trowel set to handle anything. The best feature of this trowel is that it has nice, sharp edges to slice through the roots of annuals in softer soil. It holds a fair bit of soil and specializes in excavating a hole quickly for nursery-stock plantings. The edges are single-bevel ground and look to be easily sharpened with a file or wet-stone. The construction is solid and simple hardened steel and wood, but the whole thing is light and surprisingly nimble.

Wow!
One of my new must have garden tools! Works more like a small shovel and very sturdy. Seriously nice tool. Will update this review if any changes.

It’s too cute
I do a lot of flower gardening and I just love this tool. It’s made very well and this one is exactly the same as one advertised on a popular gardening store. Love it!

Excellent design and well made
Trowels come in many different shapes and materials – while I’ve collected and used many with varying degrees of success in different soils, this is the one I’d choose if one were all I could have. Never knew I even needed a new trowel until I watched Monty Don, Adam Frost, and other presenters on Gardeners’ World effortlessly sink their heart-shaped trowels in the earth and dig out or set in plants in one stroke. Went hunting for a similar tool and found this one. Sharp, sturdy, effective – a keeper.
