You really can change colors!
I can't believe how well this dye covers - and even changes colors – or how nice the finish looks with just a little effort. I have an old leather sofa that's about 8 feet long. It used to be dark green and it faded to teal. Didn't love the green. Hated it as faded teal, so it was worth a try. And it really exceeded all expectations. If you're on the fence, go for it. it is pretty easy to get a great result. It is an excellent value. Less than 2 jars will complete an 8-foot sofa.BIG PLUSES:Covers easily in 2 coats if going darker.Very easily covers bares spots or scratches.Hardly any odor.Subtle sheen similar to new leather.Dries quickly...and I live in a humid rainforest!Does not rub off after dry. Quality product.Easy clean with soap and water.MODEST weaknesses:Protective gloves are flimsy but do the job. One brokeFoam applicators are just okay. They start out fine but collect some thickening dye as you go.Constant pressure can keep the dye from thickening inside foam which can result in an uneven finish.Keep semi-attached cushions separated until fully dry. Gaffers tape can hold cushions in different directions. The mink oil takes longer to penetrate the new finish than instructions indicate. And the mink oil can leave things too shiny and messy without a VERY good cleaning.TIPS:If you're dying darker, you can successfully (completely) change colors in 2 coats. If you have a larger project like a sofa, get yourself some cloth applicators and nitrile gloves to make the day easier. If you use the foam applicators, switch them out as soon as the inside dye thickens – or your finish will be uneven.Let the mink oil sit longer than indicated to get through the new finish and into the leather. Then wipe with microfiber.Very mild soap and water on microfiber can remove the greasiness and excessive sheen of the mink oil. This is an exceptional product that delivers. Get it.See the before, during and after photos - then save that leather you used to love!

Perfect match, simple to use, wonderful results
I am only moderately handy and I’m delighted by my results with FortivoThis desk is a good quality reproduction from the 1980s, but the serve leather writing surface had become badly chipped and worn. I did not want to go to the trouble and expense of replacing the leather, so I asked friends what they would do and this product was recommended to me.The color match is perfect. I don’t know how I did that. It was very, very easy to use. I masked the gold detailing at the border and applied two coats of the product with the supplied sponges. It could not have been easier. The surface looks authentic and nearly brand new. Best of all, it did not smell of horrible chemicals.

Amazing easy to use product! Saved me from buying new sofas, definitely worth the money. These photos are before and just after one coat. It totally repaired my couch, color was perfect, covered the scratches, and restored the life of my sofa!

Great for leather! Awful for vinyl!
Loooved what this did for a leather loveseat we picked up second hand. It had pinprick scratches and wear across the seats, armrests, and headrest. Putting this cream on was like taking an eraser to the blemishes. It completely filled in everything! I rubbed the sponge in tight circles to avoid leaving streaks and it worked really well. Went in with Leather Honey conditioner after it had dried a few hours and the loveseat looks brand new, if a bit darker of a blue/almost black. I’m sure it will wear back to navy eventually.I was really pumped at this point, and we have another blue leather chair with PU or vinyl wings that had a few white cracks as well, but when I started in on it I quickly realized it wouldn’t work. It was well nigh impossible to leave an even finish on the vinyl, and the leather cream was very dark, almost black, while our chair is a true navy. I ended up wiping it entirely off with a wet rag before it dried, and I’m so glad I did because as you can see in the last picture, the spots I missed wiping turned a very mottled blackish blue. So it stains vinyl I believe, but I have no idea how you would get it to not streak or to leave an even finish. I did use the small brush included to just hit the white age spots on the vinyl and it covered it fine.So long story short: 100% recommend for true leather if you’re ok with a darker navy, there’s no color transfer or anything and it makes old leather look brand new. With vinyl- adjust your expectations if you decide to use this, works for small scratches or holes but probably not anything larger than that.

The product works great!!!
We recently found a leather recliner that was a perfect match to the one we already had. The problem was the recliner had a large circular spot at the headrest area that was discolored and appeared someone wore off the color. I was skeptical we would be able to repair the leather but I was so happy after seeing how well this product worked. The color we chose was Bordeaux as our leather is a brownish/merlot color. I put on one application which initially didn’t fully cover the worn area. I let it dry 24hrs then reapplied more product to the damaged area. I was so happy to see how well this product worked. It has stayed slightly tacky, but I think I should have let the first application dry a little longer and I did put it on very thick.I would highly recommend this product. It is a great value for the money considering it saved us on having to purchase new furniture. It is easy to apply and doesn’t have any residual smell. Worked amazingly!!!

Low cost, decent quality leather couch coloring solution
I am very happy with this product. Dark brown shade blended very nicely with my leather couches. All faded spots are invisible after application. I applied honey conditioner lotion many hours after coloring balm application and it restored a good shine and helped nourish leather. For a small investment, it turned my ugly looking sofa like new. Highly recommended product. Even if it last a few months, its still worth it. You can always reapply every 6 months to extend life of your sofa until you are ready to replace.
