I am 36 years old in 2020. So far, I have listened and learned all sorts of fantasy stories linked with the book of Revelation from various Mainstream and mega church pastors and televangelists.But, this book from pastor John MacArthur (whom I consider as my spiritual mentor through his teachings, video sermons and books) helps me understand the accurate meaning of each verses that was spoken by our Lord and the saviour Jesus Christ to His disciple and apostle John. So far, I have read the commentaries about the letters given to the seven churches that were located in the Asia minor.The format used by pastor for explanation is so much easy for me to understand about the churches and the context behind those letters. For example:The Correspondent - Who wrote the letter to the church. (Titles given that refers to Christ)The Church - Who, When and Where the church was founded. It's background, both historical and spiritual.The City - Historical details about the city where the church was located.The Commendation - Jesus commend the church for her faithfulness and holiness.The Concern - Verses about Jesus' concern on what and where the church was lagging and what went wrong.The Command - Jesus' words of command for the church to repent from the sin they were committing at that time.The Counsel - Jesus' words of conclusion where He promises salvation and eternal life for the church if they repent from their sins.Such a great book for anyone who wants to understand the book of Revelation clearly.
