Quality Sight
I have been a Gunsmith for 44 years and have mounted more RMR type sights than I can remember. The Sig ROMEOzero was very straight forward in its mounting. It was mounted on a Glock 27, .40 S&W utilizing a dovetail mounting plate. The majority of these sights are metal but the ROMEOzero is a polymer housing. This particular mounting was for my personal EDC firearm and I can honestly say I have mounted more different brands than I can remember. I chose the Sig because I wanted a sight that was small but still presented an excellent sight picture. The instructions from Sig were well written and would serve a shooter who has never mounted this type of sight. Of note and great importance is the warning of not to over tighten he mounting screws because it could deform the polymer and cause the sight to malfunction. My first observations were the automatic waking of the sight with the slightest movement. Yes, this is going to cause the sight to be on with the daily movements but off whenever the firearm is still. The presentation of the red dot is very impressive when bringing the firearm up to the shooting position. I found that I needed to bring the intensity of the red dot down to mid level of brightness. Doing so gave excellent presentation in bright sunlight as well as total darkness. I urge the shooter to experiment with this to find what works best for them.Range time revealed the need for sight adjustment. Shooting at a 7 yard distance I fount he elevation to be perfect but I did need to adjust windage to the right. The adjustment screws are well defined with arrows indicating direction of travel. They are also pronounced with a solid felt click for each moment of travel. After adjustments over 50 rounds were fired with the sight holding perfectly. All screws were checked for problems and none found. I am also an NRA pistol instructor and Training Counselor and would urge anyone to consider this sight or one like it for defensive shooting. It gives the shooter faster sight acquisition and far better grouping than standard āiron sightsā.Lastly I paid for this and have not been compensated in any way. Be SAFEā¦..Shoot WELL

Terrible design
Battery is not captured, just in between slide and sight unless you use the included thin metal "shield". Two sets of screws included. One set is for mounting to P365(?) I guess. The screws have unthreaded shoulders that act like bushings inside the red dot base. The ones for the Sig mount pass thru the holes in the base like they should. The other 6-32 screws also have bushing/shoulders and do not pass thru the base properly. I was told by Sig tech support to "just push them thru". That is what I did and they just spin in my S&W Shield with optics cut. I found some 6-32 switch plate screws that work for now. I am going to zero the sight if possible and run 50 rnds thru pistol to see what happens. The only controls are/is a button inside the tombstone just this side of the glass (?) You can supposedly use it to turn off and on and adjust brightness. The brightness adjust does work. Accessing that button is whole nuther issue. My man fingers cannot access the button. I have been using a flat screwdriver blade. Not ideal and neither is the placement of the button. Probably the absolute WORST place they could have possibly put it. The MOTACS does work but I see the adjustment of the brightness of the dot being very problematic. There is no brightness level that will work for all conditions so being able to adjust it quickly would be necessary for any red dot. That is not going to happen here. You get what you pay for and sometimes what you think is a tool turns out to be a toy. No way I would bet my life on this thing.

Install issue, factory defect??
Went to install it, was a real head scratcher. It came with two sets of screws, one set 3.5 the other 4mm. Was pretty obvious the 4MM were not going to work. The 3.5mm screws threaded into my pistol just fine, so those must be the ones to use. Try to mount the sight, and the screws are not long enough, but they also do not fit into the countersunk hole on the sight. They stick up above the hole about the amount needed to hit the threads. The screw has a bigger shoulder on it. I push the screws through from the underside of the sight, and they flush up real nice. It's like they did not drill the hole properly from the factory, they went bigger on the bottom and smaller on the top.Got home, and checked the drill index for a bit that would fit thru the bottom but not the top. Ran that thru the hole, barely took anything out...and bang. Screw fits flush from the top, and is now long enough to mount on the pistol. They must have had a batch of factory rejects that found their way onto Amazon. Can't think of any other reason. Otherwise seems to be fine.

Cheapest, but the best š
Fantastic I couldnāt ask for a better red dot for the price. Iāve already ran about 5 to 600 rounds through it and I still havenāt had to adjust the dots at all. It stayed zeroed the whole time. With the metal shroud around it taking the brunt, I can also rack it against the table. People talk crap because itās polymer, but most guns now are mostly polymer. It made my gun a lot lighter and it didnāt break my bank.
