Blue COMFORT SILKIE Security Blanket ~ The Original. The Best. Award Winning.

We purchased these on the recommendation of a friend and now, I can't recommend them enough myself! They're an amazing aid for sleep training. Be sure to get at least 2, one main use and one back up in case of an accident, but NOTE: you do not want to rotate them or launder them regularly, you want them to smell like Mom. So, before giving it to baby, have Mom wear it around inside her nursing bra for at least a few days. The goal is to REALLY get it to smell like Mom, so the longer worn (read: stinkier) the better lol. Your baby will find this in their crib and bring it right to their face and almost calm instantly. (They may not go to sleep right away, but you can see it definitely helps calm them.) Likewise, make sure your backup is also "well worn" by Mom so it's ready when needed. The material is very light and breathable so don't worry if baby pulls it onto their face, plus it's a small square so they can't get wrapped up in it like a blanket. For our first born, sleep training was over in 1 week, and she still loves it at 2 years old. We followed the same pattern with our second, (now 6 months) and it worked equally well! As far as the negative reviews regarding the size/softness: read the description, it's SUPPOSED to be small. It's also dual textured; one side is satin smooth, and the other side is fuzzy cotton soft. 10/10!

I bought this for my brand new grandson. This blanket comes just as shown. It comes in a very nice box and could be given as a great gift for someone special.This blanket brings back so many memories because my own son and nephews had the same one many years ago.It is soft on one side and silky on the other side. It washes well. I highly recommend this and it comes in different colors too.

I LOVE this product. I have 3 boys (now grown) and each one loved his original comfort silkie blankie. It is the perfect size to throw into a diaper bag or for car rides, and for little hands to pick up and cuddle later on. One son loved to put his thumb thru the loop so he could hold his blankie while sucking his thumb. Pure baby bliss! Easy to grab when tears flow; soothes instantly! Best advice is to introduce by 3 months old and buy 2, for when one heads to the washer. Material stood test of time (over 8 years!) My only wish would be to have better colors for the blue and pink. Comfort Silkie - please find that original blue bunny pattern you had 28 years ago. It rocked!

I really like this product but I purchased as a gift and box was smashed when it arrived. A plastic shipping bag is not sufficient to protect presentation box. Disappointed in that.

My 20 month old son immediately took to his Comfort Silkie. We bought another one just in case the first one got lost! This is a SMALL blanket, it's not supposed to cover the baby and keep them warm but it is the perfect size to snuggle! My son looks like Linus when he's carrying his blankie around :)Update: My son is now 3 1/2 and he STILL loves his "Blank". Buying two was a good idea because sometimes he loses it at bedtime and it's faster to grab the spare and look for the first one in the morning. Also keep in mind the people who gave this 1 or 2 stars didn't read the description and were expecting a full size blanket which this is not. If you are looking for a small comfort item this is it!!

Wonderfully soft and silkie blanket that your baby will hold for comfort. Lasts forever, washes easily. Great gift for new babies.

My son absolutely loves this. We received this as a gift when my son was a few months old and a couple years later he still carries it with him everywhere! It really does absorb parents' scent and I think that really makes a difference for younger babies. We just bought another one for a backup. It's a blanket for comfort, not for warmth, so it's not as big as your average blanket. I actually think the size is perfect. It would be harder for a baby or toddler to grab and carry a large blanket around. I absolutely recommend.

I was under the assumption that this was a full size baby blanket. Very pricey for such a small blanket. Very disappointed.
