If you put the antenna outdoor, yes it will increase the speed you will get from the modem indoors. I have the Huawei CPE Pro with Vodafone 5G Home Broadband and it worked great for me. Of course the result will depend on your area and etc, but worth a try.

Is this compatible with 5g huawei cpe pro 3300-4200 mhz?

This will do the 700 - 3800 frequency n41 / n77 / n78 It won't do n79 4400mhz (China, Japan, Russia).

Is this item locked to vodafone?

No, I use it with EE. It's simply an antenna its use is not able to be locked to a specific carrier.
