Awesome Watch!
By far the best value in a watch ever!It keeps time better than the Timex that cost more that twice as much and took on water almost immediately when I went swimming. (It was supposed to be water resistant to 30 feet)This very inexpensive Amazon Watch was in the pool for 3+ hours and hasn't shown any signs of problems. The band, however was rather flimsy and I have replaced it. Definitely not a deal breaker because the watch is so reliable. I always seem to destroy a watch before it wears out. This one has so far proven to be a real value. Buy it!

Fantastic Value for Price
Excellent-looking watch with 30/31 date tracker (you'll need to adjust every March). Leather strap looks classic. And waterproof to 10 feet or so, so I wear it in the shower and when swimming. I bought it over 1.5 years ago and the strap is just starting to look funky and the time is starting to delay as the battery dies. I have no idea how to pry off the back of the watch, so I may just get a new one or finally fix my main (expensive) watch. At ~$15 USD, it has held up well for nearly 2 years.Easy to use, just like every other watch. Pull the crown a little to adjust date and pull it out fully to adjust the time.

Nice & Easy to Read. Classic Looks & a Good Value
The media could not be loaded. Amazon Essentials Easy to Read Strap Watch ReviewAfter searching for an affordable, readable watch on Amazon, I settled on the Amazon Essentials Easy to Read Strap Watch. At just $16, it was among the cheapest options that looked promising.First ImpressionsThe watch comes in a 42mm case size, which is typically more suitable for men, though it's not exclusively marketed as such. Upon unboxing, I found the watch already running (indicating its quartz movement) with a protective film over the face that easily peeled off.The watch face is impressively legible with large numerals - perfect for someone like me who struggles with smaller displays. However, I immediately noticed there's no anti-reflective coating on the crystal, though that's expected at this price point.Specifications & FeaturesJapanese quartz movement (noted on the caseback)Leather strapClaims 100m water resistance (though I wouldn't test this limit)Date function (slightly small for older eyes)Luminous hands (but not markers)Plain polished bezelOn the WristThe watch fits my nearly 8-inch wrist on the second-to-last hole of the strap, suggesting those with larger wrists might need a longer band. The leather strap is quite stiff initially but should break in with wear. The case is notably lightweight, which raises questions about its construction. While not specified, I suspect it might be brass with plating rather than solid stainless steel. I deliberately chose the silver-tone model over gold-plated options to avoid potential wear issues where plating might rub off.ProsExceptional legibility with large numbersGood luminous hands that charge with regular lightClean, attractive design with polished accentsSimple to set and operateExtremely affordable at $16ConsStiff leather band needs breaking inDate window is rather smallLightweight construction may indicate less durable materialsStrap has stitching only in one direction, suggesting partial glue constructionBattery Life & DurabilityWithout complications to drain power, I estimate the battery should last 2-3 years. While it claims water resistance, I wouldn't recommend showering with it due to the leather strap, which could deteriorate with frequent wetting. For $16, the Amazon Essentials Easy to Read Strap Watch delivers exceptional value. It's not a fashion statement or luxury timepiece, but it serves its primary purpose beautifully - telling time in a highly readable format. I'd recommend it particularly for older users or anyone who values legibility over fancy features. The 42mm size works well for wrists 6.75 inches or larger, while smaller wrists might prefer the 38mm version.

Simple reliable watch
I have a smart watch, in fact I have 2. They are hard to read in bright sunlight, in the rain and i hate having to push a buttonor shake my wrist to get the time. This watch gets the job done and that is to tell the time. In my experience, it holds the time well and is easy to read. In addition the price is right.

Budget-Friendly, But Misses the Mark: AmazonBasics Watch Review
I recently purchased an AmazonBasics watch with a brown faux leather band, drawn in by the affordability and the simple, classic design it promised online. After wearing it for a few days, I've gathered enough impressions to share my thoughts, and unfortunately, they lean more towards the negative side, albeit with an understanding of the price point. Here's a breakdown of my experience:**Pros:**- **Affordable:** True to the AmazonBasics brand, the watch comes at a very wallet-friendly price, making it an accessible option for those on a tight budget.- **Looks Decent From Afar:** At first glance, the watch has a certain appeal, especially if you're not looking too closely. The brown faux leather band and the watch face present a decent attempt at a classic style.**Cons:**- **Uncomfortable Fit:** The fit of the watch is where my issues primarily lie. It's bulkier than I prefer, making it feel awkward and cumbersome on my wrist. This detracts significantly from the wearing experience, making it less likely that I'll reach for it daily.- **Feels Cheap:** Despite my realistic expectations considering the price, the watch feels cheaper than I hoped. The faux leather band feels stiff and low-quality, while the watch itself lacks the weight and solidity that often characterizes more well-made timepieces.- **Lackluster Durability:** Given the overall build and materials, I'm concerned about how well this watch will hold up over time. The band, especially, seems like it might wear down or break with regular use.**Conclusion:**While the AmazonBasics watch with a brown faux leather band certainly fits the bill for an inexpensive, no-frills timepiece, it unfortunately falls short in terms of comfort, quality, and overall satisfaction. The bulkiness and the cheap feel are significant drawbacks that can't be overlooked, even with tempered expectations at this price point. It might serve as an okay starter watch or a temporary stand-in, but for those looking for a daily wearer, it might be worth investing a little more in something that feels better to wear and promises greater longevity.

Good watch. It hasn't fallen apart.
I didn't think this was going to last as long as it has. It's nice, but the band seemed very cheap. Like the faux leather wrap was going to come off while putting it on. It didn't, though. I've had it for roughly a year, and it hasn't fallen apart or snapped, etc.
