Great Series!!
C C Piper are new to me authors and “Taken” is the 2nd book in “The Billionaires Secret Club” series. I’ve read both books straight thru and couldn’t put them down!!! The stories just suck you right in until the last page!! All I can say is WOW!! Great stand-alone contemporary romance with plenty of HEAT!!! The series is free thru Kindle Unlimited but start with the 1st book “Wrecked” for most enjoyment!! I’m off to start the 3rd book “Hooked”!!!!😜

Good read
This was a good story -- good plot. My only problem here is that it just seemed too rushed. Of course, I realize we are dealing with a fantasy here - Wish Maker, etc. -- but I would have liked to see a more well developed scene in some places. Good effort, though, and thoroughly readable!

Couldn't BreakAway
This story is indeed a hair raising, teeth clenching, pulse pounding phenomenal book it's my favorite so far. Christoff and Rachel's story is very intense which kept me glued to this book reading it in one night who needs sleep when your reading a exceptional story. I most definitely recommend this book.

It was good but..
This book had a really good theme and some romance but overall didn’t meet my expectations. It didn’t have a lot of smut or dirty romance. It was enemies to lovers but not the strong mafia type. If you like romance and suspense you should definitely read this but not if you’re looking for something with lots of smut. It was a good book though I don’t regret the buy

Taken
This wa a very good book to read. I like how the "Wish Maker" appears in all of the books so far. This book is easily read and in good context.

Not so dark romance
I liked this book! There are couple of thing that I missed. *SPOILER ALERT* The Wish Maker promised to send Chris reports on what's happening in Brisbane's company. It would have been fun to Reed one of two of those reports and see how Chris reacts.

An unexpected tale of souls finding love
Chris - the brains behind a gaming company has been double crossed. The woman he loved was a traitor that not only broke his heart but stole an idea of his for a rival. He hatched a plan to get justice by coming up with the idea of kidnapping his rival’s daughter. It all came to light when he contacted the infamously mysterious Wishmaker.Emery - the daughter of CEO of Brisbane Industries, talented cello player and song writer that is dreadfully following in her parents footsteps to take over when they pass the company onto her and her twin brother. When things go astray one morning and she is kidnapped. She wakes to find this man, who is quirky but intriguing. For the next few weeks, they learn things about one another and give into the chemistry that has been sparking between one another. She learns that her guard cares with his all and they both fall in love with one another unexpectedly. But when time runs out and all the truths are revealed, can that love survive after all the betrayal?I was pleasantly surprised with this story, it is a completely safe read and even though some might say this would be a story of Stockholm syndrome I would have to disagree. This is a story of two souls that were lost, one completely defeated and desperately trying to regain what he worked so hard on while the other was giving in to what she thought was inevitable and was blind to see truths that she had missed - but thru it all they had learned more about themselves along with learning about one another. There was steam, no violence, and the “villain” of the story wasn’t truly one - he was a man that was hurt in more than one way and was desperate to get what was taken. I enjoyed this story and wouldn’t necessarily call it a dark romance, just an oddly circumstantial one.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
