Works on Mac OS X
I had to call Upvel tech support to find out if there were drivers for OS X — there are no links or information about this on their website or in the documentation. However, he was able to send me to their chipset manufacturer's page for a driver installer.Get it here: http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=48&PFid=48&Level=5&Conn=4&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false&Downloads=true#2747The chipset is RTL8188CUS. It only lists up to OS X 10.8 but I just installed on 10.10 and it works fine — the page just hasn't been updated in years. After installing and rebooting, when you plug in the adapter you'll get Wireless Network Utility popping up, from which I was able to connect to my home network (Airport Extreme) just fine.Appreciate the responsive tech support but dinged a star for the lack of any mention of this on their site or documentation. I suppose most people have working Airport cards on their MacBooks. :)

Rock solid wifi connection
The adapter is surprisingly small. I put it on a laptop and it is small enough to leave on at all times, though I have to be a bit careful when sliding the laptop into a carry bag.Installation was relatively easy for my windows 7 machine--search for UPVEL UA-210WN driver and download and install the driver. Of course, to do this you need a working internet connection, but the driver is fairly small and so you can do so on another computer and transfer by usb drive or other medium. At install the adapter was recognized and worked immediately. In my case I did go in to the hardware manager of windows and disabled the old (built in) wifi--it was dropping signal constantly and so I needed a replacement. This adapter perfectly fit the bill.It is a bit slower than I expected for a wireless N device. It seems to cap out at around 14 mps transfer rate, while my other laptop gets 40 mps. However, the wifi connection is rock solid, and for the price and size and reliability of connection I'll forgive a bit of slowness that may simply result from using a usb port anyway. I'm very happy with this product.

Good wireless adapter for a cheap price.
Good wireless adapter for a cheap price. I just plugged it into my USB slot and my PC automatically installed the driver. It picked up my wireless signal fine and the download and upload speeds were good. The only problem I had is that it can't play CSGO which is a very intensive online game, so that's to be expected with an inexpensive unit like this. The other less intensive online games played just fine. Movie streaming from Netflix and Amazon also worked fine. Overall, it's a good adapter for the cheap price.

Just what I wanted
I rated this 5 stars because it suited my purpose very well. I used this in an old PC which had a bad network junction. I'm very happy with boththe price and performance. I notice no lag on line, but then I used the old PC mainly for video processing/converting and not for largedownloads so I cannot review that aspect. But for general surfing, email etc. I'm very pleased. BTW the PC is less than 20ft from my router.I have no idea what the distant limitations are.

Works. May damage USB slightly.
It works fine with my Windows PC. Unfortunately, the build quality is not the best -- the USB port seems is a very tight fit and must be slightly too big in some manner, so it has damaged my USB port a little. Now if I plug in other devices to the same USB port, they slide in and out a little easier because this adapter has seemingly "stretched" out the USB port a little bit.

Great bang for the buck USB WiFi
Have used the UPVEL UA-210WN on both Windows 10 and Windows 7. It uses a Realtek chipset and Windows 10 installs the device automatically. Windows 7 requires the included driver / setup Mini CD. I didn't measure the performance, but I would say it was decent and what I would expect from a usb device of this size. My connection distance was only about 20 feet and incurred no problems. Great bang for the buck USB WiFi.

Works just as it should.
Works well in the USB 3.0 port of an ASUS T100TA-C1-GR(S). The built in Broadcom wireless does not delivery consistent connectivity for dialogue or streaming without buffering. This device solved that problem and protrudes barely at all. Windows 8.1 32 bit found and installed the drivers for me.

Great
Works much better than anticipated. I have a couple of these. Easy to setup. One is at the back of my office, about 100 feet from the WAP, through several walls, and has great connectivity and no drops.
