Moxie Girlz Magic Swim Mermaid Doll - Avery

My 5 year old daughter got this from Santa and she is over the moon! I am impressed with the size (larger than a Barbie), quality, and performance. The doll swims very gracefully through the bath water. We can't wait to try it in a pool! Well worth the money in my opinion:)

Tried it in the tub, tried it in the lake, tried it in the backyard kiddy pool...but it NEVER swam! My daughter loves it, though, so we didn't return it (it's very pretty and the tail is rubbery...and "it's like a real mermaid" she says).

My daughter enjoys bath time with this doll. She is pretty yet modest (rare for a mermaid), and her tail moves when she is wet. If she keeps moving after we pull her out of the water, we dry the two contact points and she stops. We have owned her for 2 months and had no complications.

We bought this for my daughter for Christmas. It doesn't work at all. Once it gets wet, the motor's movement is not enough to make her swim in water. We then try to dry the water sensors to stop the motor, and it will continue grinding for hours until the batteries die or you take them out. Don't believe the videos. This mermaid does not swim. Just get a regular mermaid doll and use your imagination.

Works great for a while but then after a few dozen uses it simply stopped working. Fresh batteries did not help and now it's just a doll. My daughter was disappointed and doesn't play with it any more.

I bought for my 7 year old niece at her request she likes the doll and has played in the tub with it.

This is a must buy for any 1-2 yr old girl. My granddaughter takes it to her swim class and the teacher says she is doing better because now she wants to swim like the mermaid. The mermaid really swims, slowly but she swims well. She has a rubbery feel that both granddaughters like a lot.

I purchased this for one of my daughters (the other one got Kellan) and it's beautiful. She really loves it and works perfectly fine. My girls spent an hour in the bathtub the first day they got it. It's a huge hit in this house.

My daughter is seven and she loves having a bath with this doll. She works even better in out hot tub. She is really impressive. Wish I had this when I was her age.

J'ai été déçue par cette achat, car je voulais exactement celle qui était sur la photo pour que ma fille en ait une différente que celles que nous avons en France et au final j'ai eu la même.En + dès qu'on met les piles je n'ai pas trouvé de bouton pour l'arrêter et elle est toujours en état de marche donc les piles s'usent très rapidement

kind of swims, but it's noisy

My 3 year who is mad on mermaids loved this toy. I thought the doll was a bit ugly and it was really difficult to get the back open to put the batteries in. The doll moves in water although I'm not sure it' can really be called swimming. Overall it does what it's supposed to.
