Best leather glue choice!
Product arrived quickly and in perfect condition. I had been using leather contact adhesive but it always went bad in the can if you didn't use it right away. This one has an very fast set time to be able to work with it (5-10 minutes). This glue is very easy to apply. Just put glue down on one item and press the other item. Clamp for a few minutes and done. This is now my glue of choice for leather projects. It is not as strong of a bond as the contact adhesive, but I only need it to hold until I stitch it. I will definitely buy this again. Great product! Great value!

Cures and bonds leather quick. Slightly messy but no issues.
Okay, you are probably buying this for leather and probably are debating using this vs. rubber cement, which a lot of makers use. I have used both, but I am coming back to Aleene's Leather glue and here are the pros and cons.Pros: glues up leather fast. You can cut pieces you glued together only 3-5 minutes later. The bond isn't invincible, but strong enough. You also get a lot of use out of a bottle, I've made dozens of projects with only a single one. It's also very economical and cheap compared to something like Barge cement.Cons: ruins ability to dye parts of leather if you accidentally touch a part of leather with it on your finger or it smudges. Application is also harder than cement, which you brush. In my case I use my finger as a squeegee to clean up the lines of glue. Once you do it a few times it isn't such a downside. So why use it over cement? For me it's all because of how fast it tacks up, that is the clear reason why. When I am working on a project I like to be doing 1-3 things at a time but my main focus is the piece I want done, and I hate waiting 10 minutes each time for cement application. I am also able to stick the pieces together wet and slide it a bit if I got it off position for the first few seconds, which is important to me. I like making things NOW not waiting a long time, which makes this product 5/5 stars!

DOES NOT ADHERE TO LEATHER!
ZERO Stars! Waste of money. Tried gluing a standard patch onto a leather vest... HUGE FAIL! After sitting for 2 days, and weighted down to add pressure, the glue was STILL WET and came right off! WTF! How can this be advertised as a leather adhesive? The individuals who are giving positive reviews, could NOT be applying this glue to genuine leather, especially after severely exceeding the required drying time.

Still tacky after 5 days
The media could not be loaded. I’m a little skeptical about this product. Maybe I got a bad batch. I applied some of it 5 days ago without placing another piece of leather on top of the glue, and it’s still tacky. I used it to seal the frayed edges of cotton lining and adhere them to the leather. The edges of the bag I made are sticking to the table a little bit every time I pick it up to check if it dried. It does seem to have formed a well-adhered rubbery coating, which is good, but I’m curious why it’s taking so long to cure, since I believe the manufacturer stated it takes only 48 hours. Maybe I applied it too thick? Not sure if I will be buying this again.
