EFP Humidifier Filter 1041 for Aircare, Essick, & Bemis - 3 Wicking Filters for Air care 1041, Bemis 1041, Essick Air, Aircare 1041 Humidifier Filter

This purchase comes in a pack of 3 filters. This filters appear to be made to order. We received one filter in this pack of 3, with the black casing disconnected, which we thought would easily snap and reconnect. We tried this and put it in our humidifier, but it didn't hold after several attempts. We also realized that the filter material had been cut too short and did not fit in the casing properly. Amazon usually allows for photographs, but I can see where that download icon has gone? I have reached out to the seller via Amazon's process and I hope to get some customer service. We need to keep the two filters that work as the southwest is extremely dry right now.

I have some very high quality wooden acoustic musical instruments and I live in a humidity challenging environment. I need to humidify my recording area from Nov.-April,, aiming for a relative level of 40-45%. I am accustomed to changing the wick/ filter about once every 3-4 weeks as I watch the hygrometer level closely. I thought the price at my local big box store a bit pricey so I gave these a try. When the name brand started to fail it was due to lime and impurity build up, showing most evidently on the back side.These fail after jus about a week. They show zero signs of impurity build up, in fact every part over about an inch and a half remains supple. I ordered three... all the same. They simply don't wick. They don't work well. They are near useless.

These so called "filters" are worthless. They do not work like the original filters and are a huge waste of money. Look elsewhere if you want a filter that actually works like the manufacture intended.

I tried these due to good price and availability. The wicking performance is poor and our humidifier couldn’t even keep area at 35% relative humidity. I went back to Aircare wicks and the difference was night and day. Don’t waste your money on these replacement wicks - they use a waxy membrane that does not wick water adequately. The good - they fit my 1041 compatible humidifier and arrived promptly.

Finding, ordering, and receiving these wicking water filters for my humidifier was easy and quick. They also fit my Bemis humidifier perfectly. They are however, very ineffective at wicking the water up to the top of the filter. I check the filter every time I refill the water tanks and it never has water more than half way up the paper medium. Previous wicking filters have never had this problem.

Does a good job.Like the price too!Don't last as long as the pricey one, still the way to go.

These wicks are easy to install and evaporate well in a dry climate.

It's winter approaching and it's time to get the humidifier setup and plugged in. Glad they are sold in 3 packs.
